Since its inception in 1997, the Pokemon anime has become a global sensation with 22 seasons that exploring the long and storied journey of ten-year-old Ash Ketchum and his best friend, Pikachu. If by some ASB (or perhaps Legendary-instigated) means they had the opportunity, how would the various Pokemon characters react to watching the myriad adventures and exploits of the series' titular trainer on TV?

Wonder how Ash of 1997 will react when he will see his 2019 counterpart on TV. That'd be a reaction worth witnessing if you ask me. In addition to Alola Ash being at a Pokemon school, he'll also wonder what the heck happened to his voice (the creators switched voice actors for him in 2006).
Actually, maybe we could have each version from every leg of his journey--Original Series, Advanced Generation, Diamond & Pearl, Best Wishes, XY, Alola and those from future travels--react to the anime as well, not to mention one another.

True--especially Ash Ketchum himself. He'd be weirded out upon learning the answer to that, which is basIcally the writers keeping him young so that he can keep adventuring and therefore allow them to continue having a series. |

Sooner or later, Ash Ketchum & Co. will detect a pattern of him losing regional leagues (there's fanfiction where he wins them, but they're non-canon). That's bound to frustrate the kid, since he'd come up short thanks to the writers wanting to keep the series going.
On the other hand, though, halting his journey might've prevented him from making certain friends along the way. So, he'd ultimately have mixed feelings on repetitive losing, maybe?
