Ah, yes. When we got our first taste of how terrestrial battles were fought in the Star Wars universe (because A New Hope, you know, had none). For more derivative content, though, here's an epic orchestral cover of one of the more heart-wrenching moments from the Prequels. Star Wars: Anakin vs Obi-Wan | EPIC VERSION

I just commented on the 'no Star Wars' thread but this seems more appropriate here. Let me recommend the late Brian Daley's Han Solo books. Originally a trilogy  but currently sold as The Han Solo Adventuresthe first two books feature Han and Chewie in part of the galaxy run by the Corporate Sector Authority. It's an arm of the galaxy with habitable worlds, but no sentient life, so the CSA is set up to exploit resources. The Corporate Sector Authority is government, police, employer, everything. The books are great, Daley did more to define Solo and Chewbacca for me than anything anyone else has put on film or in print since, including Lucas. But I really wish some of the movies would explore this idea of the Corporate Sector Authority more. And we don't need any of the main movie characters, this could be done via all new personalities we could meet along the way. As an aside, I have heard that some of Daley's ideas from the books have been stolen borrowed in some of the recent movies like Rogue One.... Regards, |
