Before or after he becomes a shambolic wreak? Mind you without the threat of Chaos even the latter might stage a recovery.
From what I know of him - which isn't a lot - he's a rationalists and technocrat but also an autocrat so it could have some nasty impacts on the world.

Probably before, as being mobile and capable of somewhat "normal" interaction with mortals has its obvious uses.
But yeah; even though he's made it his mission to nurture humanity and bring it to collective greatness, Big E's also Stalin levels of ruthless and happy to sacrifice upwards of millions to accomplish his mission. Might be to his detriment in a more "innocent" time like ours, though if he's smart, he'll at least be less blatant about it than the usual dictator and resort to clever "backdoor" methods instead.

Correct! Of course, I’m sure organized religions within the MCU are having a hard enough time reconciling their beliefs with aliens, magic, and superheroes everywhere. Given this, it’s not hard to imagine how hard a time the OTL Catholic Church would have — especially since Strange achieved enlightenment (and of course, mastery of his inner abilities) not from Jesus, but from supernaturally empowered mystics in the East. Not something the One, Holy, Apostolic Church (TM) would take too well to, much less various fundamentalist groups who find out about it.  |
