That assumes he 'inherits' Turing's sexuality and has problems adjusting - or ends up in a version of the 1940 UK. I would be more concerned with him ending up in our world as Khan - let alone Sauron!

Lets go the safe route and convince him to pick Sherlock Holmes.
Better him being Sherlock to Martin Freeman's Watson and frequently being a pain for him than being Smaug and trying to eat him.  |

Know there were camera phones in 2007, but to my knowledge, they (along with the internet in general) hadn’t exploded quite enough for video footage to show up everywhere at once. Totally different story in 2020, though. |

The camera was at least very advanced for its time in 2007. And who could ever forget this Nokia decepticon: Nokia-Bot Scene - Transformers (2007) Movie Clip | 1080p HD | Mr. AutobotQuality was also bad at best. There was also limited mobile apps at this period if memory serves. Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, and Twitter weren't ported into mobile apps yet. One had to log it in via the browser which was difficult to type in the keypad. There's AOL and Yahoo! Messenger but their features were limited as well. If it occurred in 2020 during the height of COVID, I'd imagine memes be like: "Yep, another one to tick off the 2020 Apocalypse Bingo." Suddenly, lockdowns and COVID would be ignored. |
