'The God-Emperor Awakens To Give A Tirade About The Modern Imperium'. Maybe this would make the people who run it come to their senses (or at least, as close as Warhammer 40K people can anyways)? Ore he would this: An interesting video by OneMindSyndicate. My main criticism is that he gets tangential when offering his points, getting too deep and invested into detailing the lore that needs to be known before connecting it to how it's relevant to the return of the Emperor and its implications. Even once explained, they remain rather vague. Plus, if the almost-whole of humanity were confronted with the notion that the Imperial Creed they grew up believing in for thousands of years was basically BS, I doubt they'd take it as well as this guy seems to think they will. Maybe a sizable share of the population would turn against the Emperor for the millennia of religious deception that occurred in his name. But yeah, I pretty much agree that civil war--which is the absolute last thing mankind needs right now--is an inevitable consequence of him finally getting off of his royal butt for the first time in 10,000 years. Perhaps this scenario is worth making into a thread, if lordroel is down with that. Another Frivolous Fandom idea I have is 'The Chaos Gods Stop Fighting', which is completely and totally ASB even (and in fact especially) for the likes of the Warhammer 40K universe.

This is what would happen. Uh huh, I've heard/read about the "If the Emperor had a text-to-speech device" fanworks. You can tell in this one that the Custodes guard who's the first to speak with E-Money is flustered and somewhat flabbergasted by his god's demeanor and profanity-laced dissatisfaction with the modern Imperium. And I do wonder if someone could potentially put up a genuinely serious version of the video's premise as a thread.
For one that's uniquely frivolous, 'The Jedi Council Reacts to Darth Sidious's Best Lines'.
Best of Emperor Palpatine
Or even just a few funny memes featuring Old Sheev (this one's from Anti Media).

For yet another frivolous Star Wars thread, 'The Mortis Gods Appear Before The Jedi Council'.

For yet another frivolous Star Wars thread, 'The Mortis Gods Appear Before The Jedi Council'. The first time i hear of them, are they powerful. They're basically god-tier Force-users that debuted in the Clone Wars TV series. The Daughter represents the Light Side, the Son represents the Dark Side, and the Father represents the balance in between. They are confined to a world called Mortis, living as anchorites for Force knows how long. Proving much more than that would probably be spoilers, though Gooling them is likely easy enough.

Never into 40k although played the fantasy system which if you managed to filter out most of the rule inconsistencies was quite fun. However watch this and a few others and didn't realised the actual state of the empire was pretty much the polar opposite of what the emperor intended. Presumably GW wanted to keep the grim look to the universe with no hope for the future that seems to be common between the two systems.
As you say if he did awaken in a fit state to actually do something, as he was near death originally and has been fading away for 10,000 years, at least according to those videos it would almost certainly mean a major civil war with a lot of vested interests opposed to the emperor. Which could well be fatal to the empire or at least large amounts of it collasping into chaos [small C] and then falling to Chaos or other destructive groups. However since it sounds like both the emperor and the empire are pretty much decaying corpses possibly even if about half the empire was lost it might be better than continuing the way it is. If the emperor could revive his imperial creed and create the sort of state he wanted, reforming, pro-knowlegde and giving a damn about the citizens of the empire at least it would have a chance to revive and give real hope to humanity again?
I do remember reading a small bit a while back where the empire was actually set in the Doctor Who universe, with the emperor being Jack_Harkness put into suspended animation by his opponents and his regenerative powers being used to maintain the empire. The Doctor turns up and frees him but it didn't go any further than that. Did have some background where it had the 10kY duration of the empire fitting into the Doctorverse however.

'Ben 10 ISOTed To Deep Space Nine'. You know what would be cool, if he could only change into aliens from the Star Trek universe.

Transformation into a Q would be a whole lot more useful than Alien X, to name one pro. Although, the Omnitrix/Ultimatrix can scan other aliens' DNA and thus add it into Ben's repertoire, so maybe he could've done so here as well without restrictions on which species he can turn into.

'The Millennium Falcon Crash-Lands In The Pokemon World'. Aside from the imaginable difficulties posed by being marooned on a (seemingly) primitive planet that hasn't yet expanded beyond its own solar system--let alone into the greater galaxy--Chewbacca might also be mistaken for a Pokemon by wandering trainers, and may have to ward them off accordingly.

'WI Ash Ketchum's Pokemon Could Talk?'. For one thing, it'd be a whole lot more convenient for them to directly communicate with their trainer and his companions. Plus, they'd be gifted with an exceptional ability that could be shown off to others.
Meowth, of course, would no longer be the only smooth talker on the block to appear regularly in the anime.

Plus, this is a case of Ash's Pokemon suddenly becoming fluent in human language(s).

Oh, and the former can talk to everyone he meets while I'm at it, not just his perpetually young new trainer.
