August 3rd 1945 (mention in the book and my own interpretation of it)
In the middle of the night, having taken off from San Juan Naval Air Station a squadron of Vought F4U Corsairs belonging to the United States Navy on a neutrality patrol encounter 300 to 350 six-engine flying boats of the type Blohm & Voss BV 224, having called in their encounter the F4U Corsairs streaked for home. In responds to the news that the Germans seemed to about to launch a attack on the Panama Canal ore the United states holdings in the Caribbean the United States responded by launching 150 fighters from Borinquen Army Air Field in Puerto Rico and some 200 fighters from San Juan Naval Air Station and Guantanamo Bay. Having reached the point where the German flying boats should be the United States aircraft encountered none. While the majority of American fighters who took of from Borinquen Army Air Field, San Juan Naval Air Station and Guantanamo Bay where searching for the German flying boats, a massive German bomber fleet having taking off from basses in the German Caribbean’s, German Honduras and from German Guyana bomb Borinquen Army Air Field, San Juan Naval Air Station and Guantanamo Bay to bits.

Cuba declares war on Japan and the Soviet Union, stating "We consider that this aggression by a non‑American state against the integrity and inviolability of an American state is such a case that we must likewise consider us to be attacked ourselves and in thus we feel the duty to act."
Japanese bombers make a second raid over Wake Island. They kill 18 Marines, destroy a 5 of the remaining 11 F6F Hellcats that where based on the island and also damage the only working radar, thereby severely limiting the United States marines ability to respond to the Japanese aerial attacks against Wake Island.

August 4th 1945 (mention in the book and my own interpterion of it)
German invasion of the Republic of Bermuda
The Republic of Bermuda a former British colony which under an agreement by the German-American colonial commission was made an independent country is invaded by the United Greater German Reich who drops 2,000 parachute troops and using among others their Blohm & Voss BV 224 flying boats put equipment on the beach like machine guns, anti-aircraft guns, howitzers and even a couple of five-ton light tanks (Panzer Is) which allows the United Greater German Reich to seize the island and to fortify it so that it is imposable for the United States of America to retake the island of Bermuda from them.
German invasion of Panama Canal Zone
No fewer then 3,000 United Greater German Reich planes having taken off from hidden based in Brazil attack the Panama Canal, using no fewer than 150 “smoke planes’’ who laid down a curtain of acid smoke that blanked the mobile and 16-inch guns coastal batteries and the anti-air defense preventing the canal defenders from successfully engage the massive air armada that was descending upon them. After the smoke had cleared that had blinded the Canal Zone, anti-aircraft gunners had managed to shoot down several of the smoke planes, but that loss however had scarily ruffled the invaders perfectly coordinated assault.
Only a few objectives had been bombed as the Germans wanted to seize control and not destroy the Canal zone. And by surprise and sheer weight of power, they had manded to do that. The radio stations at the Canal’s Pacific entrance and at Gamboa Reach and at Colon had been of course been targeted, the motor road across the Isthmus had been bombed and the Panama Railroad had been cut by bombs as well. Incendiary bombs had reduced Panama city and Colon into smoking rubble with thousands of death civilians while Albrook and France fields at the entrances of the Canal had been demolished and with them the last fighters the United States Army Air Force could send into the air.
Following the “smoke planes’’ and regular bombers came bombers who rained down gas shell upon every spot within the Canal Zone, killing almost every American defenders, the Germans parachute thousands of their troops into the Zone and with it taking control of a intact Panama canal.
Battle of Wake Island
Japanese bombers make a third raid over Wake Island destroying the civilian hospital and the Pan Am air facility.
Japanese Invasion of the Commonwealth of the Philippines
Japanese troops land at Aparri on the North coast of Luzon and Vigan on the East side of the island.

Japanese aircraft attack Manila Bay area, damaging American freighter Sagoland.
Japanese troops of the 2nd Taiwan Regiment of the 48th Division land on Camiguin Island and at Gonzaga, Vigan, and Aparri on Luzon Island.
