So there's no invasion of Kuwait/Gulf War.
Effects on Iraq?
On Bush and the 1992 election?
He won't be facing Clinton.

Qusay would give it a real try, I think. At this stage, before 9/11 and the War on Terror, he has a good chance at ensuring is reign without outside - US mainly - intervention should he be able to pull it off.

I think it is before the start of the 1st Gulf War, but if he is smart he does not invade Kuwait, hold out for a couple of years and let the oil dollars flow. |

I think it is before the start of the 1st Gulf War, but if he is smart he does not invade Kuwait, hold out for a couple of years and let the oil dollars flow. Iraq was doing well before the Gulf War in terms of wealth, healthcare and education. Saddam was a tyrant who had already used gas on his own people but he got away with that. His replacement - son or not - could have carried on without issue all without the Gulf War. |

I think ITTL Dick Gephardt runs for and wins the 1992 Democratic nomination. With the bad economy he beats Bush in the general election. With his knowledge of Congress , he gets a health care program passed in 1994.
