Collectively, they are at this point in 1960/61. As they field more SSNs, strike bombers and missile armed warships, the issue will become more challenging.

The Allies will have more weapons to counter the Soviets, but the naval threat will become more complex. There is not only the submarine and land-based bomber threat, but also the Soviet surface fleet and its carrier groups.
This is most pronounced in the Northern Fleet's area of operations - Scandinavia. Strong Soviet carrier elements change the complexion of the threat of amphibious assault on Norway. They also give a capacity to take on the USN and RN in the Norwegian Sea and North Atlantic, begetting a response.
The Pacific Fleet is building up its strength somewhat more slowly, but in time, will threaten Japan in a similar way, motivating the Japanese buildup.

It is building up for both reasons, as well as a desire to project force out into the Pacific and beyond. China doesn't necessarily have territorial designs on territory beyond the island chains, but does see itself as the natural hegemon of SE Asia. With Indonesia and North Vietnam in the Soviet camp, China wants to break the chain.

Laos is facing an internal communist insurgency that has varying degrees of backing from the Soviets, North Vietnam and China; Chinese policy there is extremely pragmatic. Cambodia is somewhat insulated by geography at this time. Thailand, whilst independent, is under a fair bit of British and American influence due once again to strategic geography; there is Chinese involvement in a number of northern Thai insurgencies, but it is further back in the line of dominoes.

Well even with its greater size and population that's a hell of a force for Canada in peace-time. At least unless their expecting the neighbours to the south to come visiting again.

It is large, but has a fairly narrow range of missions and areas of concentration. 1961 is not quite the same 'peacetime' as in our world, with the major war scare of 1960 coming on top of several years of rising tensions.
II and III Corps are designated as reinforcements for Germany and the Rapid Deployment Force is assigned to Scandinavia. The Army doesn't really stretch too far; I Corps has been in Britain since 1956, with at least a division on the ground in Europe since 1945.
The majority of the RCAF is assigned to tactical air support of the Army in Europe or air defence of Canada and Newfoundland; the latter is more onerous with the need to defend Alaska.
The RCN is large, but again, it doesn't stretch far beyond augmenting the Grand Fleet and North Atlantic escort duties.

It, like Canada, is fully independent. So too are the other Dominion navies. However, rather than create duplicate forces, they are designed to augment and cooperate with each other on a regional basis and with the RN.

I can assume that the Dominion navies have standardized hardware either from the British, licence our own designs.
