That’s what I thought, thank you. I’d also like to ask about a ‘Cliodynamics and Macrohistory Thread’, in which we’d discuss the accuracy, implications and where to best learn about methodical analyses of historical trends and forecasts of the future thereof? Future History maybe, not sure as i have never heard of this before until now. In that case, I think you might find this summation of cliodynamics helpful. And maybe Wiki's overview of macrohistory useful, as well. Secondly, with respect to your judgment that they belong in 'Future History', my thought process was more that these subjects would entail discussion of trends happening in the here and now, and by extension what they mean for the future. As such, I'm concerned that without the ability to discuss current affairs with candor, whatever gets bounced around in 'Future History'--while not entirely useless--would be too sanitized and watered-down, if you ask me. To be frank, I think that the only place it comfortably fits is in 'Politics and Current Affairs'. But if you've already cast your verdict and don't wish to change it, then I respect your final decision.

Thank you, lordroel. On another note, I'm curious as to what will become of the 2020 US presidential election thread once it's been decided? Will it remain open for discussion of the assured aftershock, or will it be closed as talk of that subject carries on in other threads (i.e. the General American Politics Thread)?

That said, I suppose that a separate ‘2024 US Presidential Election Thread’ will start up to cover the corresponding topic (once the time comes, anyway)?

Not going to allow that until at least 2022, think it to soon to have a thread for the 2024 election after the 2020 election just is over, regardless who wins.

Well that could be in Future History, but looking at the current situation, the North Korea Thread might still be the place to put in this type of hypothetical discussion.

What about a ‘Could Communism And/Or Fascism Make Comeback This Century?’ thread?

What about a ‘Could Communism And/Or Fascism Make Comeback This Century?’ thread? Alongside this, how about a 'Future Of Cities' thread? I assume that 'Future History' is the best place for it.
