This one isn’t a proposed thread this time, but more a technical issue. The link to ‘100 Signs You’re An Alternate Timelines Addict II’ only links back to the now-locked original, rather than to the new thread.
And since I can’t reply to the original thread, I figured I could bring up the problem here. What must be up with that?
Thank you in advance, Zyobot

What about a semi-far future ISOT, i.e. 2050s Canada to 1950s? Or should I perhaps wait to start that until we actually have a clear picture of how the mid-21st Century looks?

I think you are right, by then Canada could be part of the United states, a Republic ore not even recognizable as we know it today.

Isn't that rather the basis of fiction? We're never going to know what 2050 Canada for instance looks like until we get there but people can speculate. As long as its not too wild or obviously politically driven there would be the basis for either a story or a discussion of possibilities and results of such a Canada appearing.

Then it’s okay and it can be future history.

What about a 'Sci-Fi Game of Thrones Reimagining' thread? I assume it'd go in Fandom, if it weren't too frivolous to stand on its own there.
Thank you in advance, Zyobot

Maybe? I'm thinking that we could also take elements from the Clone Wars, considering that galaxy-wide conflict (or at least, violence-marked tensions) fits the GoT theme well.

They could take the place of the Unsullied. Who, Clone Troopers? Yes, they would be the GOT galactic version of the Unsullied, lest say that Daenerys Targaryen who is a Princes of the the House Targaryen who house ruled the empire before here parents where killed in the 1st Civil War (this version of the Robert's Rebellion) which saw the house of Baratheon-Lannister claim the throne mange to ally with the Kaminoans who created for here the Clone Troopers so she could remove the Baratheon-Lannister house from power and restore the House Targaryen to the imperial Throne on Emperor prime (Got version of Kings Landing and Star Wars version of Coruscant).

Hmm. I'd ask more about that, but imagine that further discussion probably belongs in the actual thread that will eventually go up. My next proposed thread is 'Could Sentient Plants Evolve And Build A Civilization?'.
