Ouch! I knew some details of the French attempt and also a slightly later British one IIRC to cut off the advancing panzers but never realised how vulnerable the Germans might have been on the 14th. Even if Flavigny hadn't attacked then but had not dispersed his tanks a concentrated push on the 15th sounds like it would have caused the Germans a lot of problems.
Also never realised how short legged the French tanks were. Only 2 hours running time before needing refueling is definitely a serious problem.

If you wrote a TL of the German victory in 1940, the howls of implausibly would be deafening. It was a close run thing indeed.

It really surprised me too. I knew about some counterattacks, but this really shows the awful state of the war effort. The constant delays alone are downright shocking.
