Over the centuries since the Industrial Revolution has swept the globe, technology has advanced at unprecedented speeds. From railroads and steam engines in the 19th Century, to airplanes and atom bombs in the 20th, civilization has experienced more advancement in the past few hundred years than it ever has before. In the present-day of the (early) 21st Century, humanity now has the internet, smart devices and Silicon Valley churning out the next big thing.
