Fascinating. I remember when playing a fantasy RPGs in the 1980 the morning star as it was called there was very rarely used as because while it packed quite a punch [which may have been inaccurate] the chance of a fumble i.e. something going possibly badly wrong when using it was as high as 25%. So sounds like the game probably had more accuracy than many museums and history books of the time.

That weapon can kill you as easily as it can kill a enemy you are trying to hit.
