Here is an interesting 1944 book about national self-determination by Alfred Cobban: archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.217158/page/n1Basically, this book does an excellent job of providing an overview of the various national self-determination movements throughout the world--both in the past and in the then-present. For instance, this book talks a bit about the establishment of multinational states such as Czechoslovakia and Poland after the end of World War I and about how having large numbers of ethnic minorities in these countries eventually resulted in these countries being threatened and broken up. This book also tries to offer some solutions to the national self-determination issue in various parts of the world. Anyway, what are your thoughts on this book?
