John Lindsey is considered one of new york cities worst mayors what would it take for him to be considered one of the best and maybe a 76 possibility for the democratic nomination??

Never heard about the guy but I would assume the best way for him to be fondly remembered is for him to be competent. |

He was NYC mayor 66 to 73. At the time, New York was regarded by many as a sewer in places with the crime, violence, open prostitution etc. From what I know, he was also influenced by the Mafia too, possibly indirectly though.
After Lindsay left office, NYC went broke: the famous headline 'Ford to City, get lost' or something like that. So, I'm guessing he left the city in a bad state financially. None of this, from what little I know, bodes well for him soon afterwards running for and winning the presidency!
