Back in 1995, the band Pulp released the song Common People. I love it, it is a feel good song of past times. Jarvis Cocker sings about a girl from Greece he knew at art college and she is what the song is all about. Some years later, I watched a documentary with Cocker - he is a rather odd chap - where he was searching for her years later. The show ended with him being unable to find out her last name and nothing else about her. It was an odd programme and I remember the programme every time I hear the song. Today, I find out who she is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danae_Stratou She is the wife of Yanis Varoufakis, and everyone knows who he is! I'm sure he knows by now, long before me. But the mystery is finally solved for me too. I watched that programme and always wanted to see the mystery - and it was such - solved.
