That shows basically how much of the urban landscape Clinton won since despite getting less votes Trump's American doesn't look physically that different to the complete one while Clinton's is basically an extended archaeologic.

Well a major difference would be population right ? Most of those islands in Clinton's America would be crammed with people where as great swaths of Trump's America would not be very populated . Oklahoma City is one of the largest cities in Trump's America for example-that's not very large. |

Very true. Although the big islands in the SW for Clinton would presumably have markedly better climate compared to OTL which would help but the world would lose a lot of its agricultural capacity and Clinton US is likely to be a major food importer. Plus with so much more ocean, although it depends on how currents are affected, it could suffer from worse hurricanes.  However Canada should have a wetter and warmer climate so should be able to take up some of the slack on food production.
I wonder what would happen with the OTL Great Lakes? Their all way above sea level apart from possibly some lower reaches so a lot of water would drain out and your likely to have much of their basins become dry land.
Clinton America has lost a lot of its land based forces including the nuclear missiles whereas Trump America has lost most of its naval bases so both have taken a hit in military capacity but they should have the reserve capacity that no one would be rash enough to threaten them.

So here are 2 maps based on county victories in the 2016 US presidential election where American geography is altered to make counties won by each candidate land and by their opponent water. So for those who know more about climate what sort of country would exist-focusing mainly on the altered climate and geography of course but demographics (especially population ) and other issues as well    Nice looking at the article (you should post the link ore mention where it comes from if possabile): The Two Americas of 2016, the Land Area of Clinton’s America is 15% (530,000 square miles) while Trump’s America is 85% (3,000,000 square miles) also seems that while Clinton’s America is more islands than Trump’s America, Clinton’s America population is still 54% (174 million ) compared to Trump’s America population which is 46% (148 million). |
