In our timeline by 1952 the Republicans had not had a president in 20 years so if Dewy defeated Truman in 1948 would Adali Stevenson still be the nominee could Hubert Humphrey become the nominee this early in his career? or even Lyndon Johnson John Kennedy in 1952 would still be way too young.
Would even Eisenhower be the g.o.p nominee?

After all, he was pretty moderate, and both parties had been courting him in the early 1950s, until he decided to run as a Republican.
