1976. By himself, Brown could have won the Cold War... just maybe not for his country!
In all seriousness, the man was a joke and the US was lucky they never got him as a president. The voters often wanted change, but he didn't have the gravitas to convince them that he could give that to them. He flirted with the wrong causes, was a flake elsewhere and his personal life might have made some airheads woo but it left him right open to devastating Republic attacks on his moral character.
