On the anniversary of Isaac Asimov's death, imagine that Kerensky's Republic had survived to become a modern democratic nation. What would the Foundation Series by celebrated Russian author Isaak Osimov look like? Now that's a fascinating idea, although it does presume he's still a successful SF author. If he stays in Russia even one that becomes a modern democratic nation he may still have markedly less access to SF stories and ideas that prompted him to start writing himself. Also Russia is still likely to be poorer than the US so he could lack the funds to buy books or later to support himself until he becomes a full time author. In a society that traditionally has valued the collective more than the individual he might be more favourable towards the idea of the Foundation, which he turned rather heavily against in the later books he wrote in his final decades. Or are you only considering the initial three books of the initial series.
