I so, so want to watch this film. Candyman reboot: And i want to watch this: Yeah, I've definitely seen that before. These studios have gotten excitement-building down to a science, and this is living proof of it.

I was thinking today of my 100 favourite films, ones I'd watch again and again. These aren't the 100 best films ever made by anyone's standard, just my favourites. I got to 91 in total:
Pulp Fiction Jackie Brown Heat Silence Of The Lambs The Departed Terminator 1 Terminator 2 Die Hard Wolf Of Wall Street American Gangster Kill Bill (1+2) No Country For Old Men Candyman Leon Sicario Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead King Kong [2005] Jerry Maguire Trainspotting The Ring Michael Clayton Kidulthood Fallen Unbreakable Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind Get Out My Cousin Vinny The Usual Suspects Reservoir Dogs The People Under The Stairs The Crying Game Total Recall Red Dawn Payback Mr. Brooks Lord Of the Rings (1+2+3) From Dusk ‘Til Dawn Hell Or High Water The Reader Starship Troopers History Of Violence Saving Private Ryan Escape From New York Training Day Eastern Promises City Of God Taxi Driver Apocolypto The 5th Element The Matrix (1) Blood Diamond Casino The Talented Mr Ripley Out Of Sight 28 Days Later Interview With The Vampire Dead Man’s Shoes The Town Million Dollar Baby Layer Cake Edge Of Darkness Fight Club Inglorious Bastards The Hateful Eight Django Unchained Insomnia American History X Inception Twelve Monkeys Goodfellas Freeway Gangs Of New York Natural Born Killers Public Enemies American Sniper Godfather 1 Godfather 2 True Romance The Road Sin City (1) LA Confidential The Irishman Stand By Me The Shawshank Redemption Seven Children Of Men Hard Candy Green Mile Clockwork Orange Croupier Boogie Nights

Some damned good films there, along with some I've never seen and ones I don't really like that much but we all have our different interests.

I came up with most of it during the day at work. As said, they aren't the best ever made: just ones I enjoy. Any questions about the ones you've never seen?

Not really. Some of them I haven't seen because I don't like the general plot. For instance having seen the Kill Bill films and From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, where Tarantino plays an all too realistic twisted psychopath I don't like his almost cartoon level of violence so I wouldn't really consider watching any of his others. I mean its an interesting change in the last one to see Clooney going against his normal role to play an evil villain. Some of the others I might have seen over the years but forgotten and too many really to talk about.

In-universe movie titles seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. William Shakespeare's King Lear is apparently a homage to a scene in Last Action Hero. It is worthy to note Last Action Hero flopped because it was released the same week as Jurassic Park. Jack and the Behnstalks is a "sequel" to Jack, also starring Robin Williams. Tsunami Sunrise starring Tom Hanks.

This coming Friday, I am going to see Alien at the cinema. They are showing it due to the 40th anniversary of its' release. I've seen it before but a big screen showing sounds just great. Beware of the chest-poppers!
Catching up on this thread, but I saw James' comment above and wanted to comment.
I was trying to explain to my friend's son that he has grown up knowing Sigourney Weaver's Ripley was an action hero.
When his father and I were sitting in a theatre watching Alien for the first time, EVERYONE in the theatre KNEW that Captain Dallas (the great Tom Skerritt's character) was going to defeat the alien. And then the alien got him too, and it turned out Ripley was the victor and survivor... Heroes can come from anywhere, and anyone can be one. Ask Audie Murphy!
I'll echo Senior Chief as well on liking Westerns.
James, I'll recommend a couple for you with British actors:
The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw, with the always BRILLIANT Kenneth More, and a very easy-on-the-eyes Jayne Mansfield. A comedy, and a good one, but a western nonetheless.
Gold of the Seven Saints, with the chiseled Clint Walker some young kid named Roger Moore playing his partner. Also titled Gold of Santa Angelina.
Regards,

Remember The Godfather? In the book and the film, there is a character Jonny Fontane. He asks his Godfather to get him a part in a film and that is done: the horse's head. The actor in the film was an Italian-American singer. He was given the role then had it taken away from him so someone else could play Fontane. He went to his Godfather, a Pennsylvania mob boss, who got him back in the film using his particular skills. No horse's head... but life imitating art!

For some odd reason, my friends and I just kept on laughing at it.

I started watching the Tom Hardy film Capone the other day. I turned it off 40 / 45mins in. It really was just rubbish, depressing rubbish too.

Two Resident Evil films coming this year. - Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, a Capcom CGI film of the game canon which follows Leon and Claire in the White House. By the looks of the trailer, it looks like this is what happens when Olympus Has Fallen includes zombies in it. This will be released on Netflix on July 2021. - Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, the reboot of the live-action franchise, has entered post-production. As mentioned before, this rebooted series will stay closer to the lore of the game compared to the fanfiction of Paul W.S. Anderson. Will be released around September 2021. Just watched the Brazilian film called Tropa de Elite (English: Elite Squad) with a friend yesterday. Great acting and character development.
