The Flensburg government experiment
Something I once posted in the Alien Space Bats and Other Magic forum of the Alternate History Discussion Board, about a what if by intervention of a ASB (Alien Space Bat), the western allies (United States, United Kingdom and France) and the Soviet Union decided to recognize the Flensburg Government and that they for a strange reason consider that the Flensburg Government is only allowed to controls the German province of Schleswig-Holstein.

Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz learns that Hitler and Goebbels have committed suicide and that he has been nominated as President, He asked former finance minister Count Lutz Schwerin von Krosig to replace Goebbels as Chancellor , but Von Krosigk refuse the job , Instead, the two agreed that Von Krosigk will be the 'Leading Minister' in the new government.

The British Second Army stops outside the city of Lübeck
The Battle of Berlin ends when German General Helmuth Weidling, commander of the Berlin Defense Area, unconditionally surrenders the city of Berlin to Soviet General Vasily Chuikov.

The Flensburg Government decides to continue governing the area they have been given, in hope of helping post-War Germany to rebuild.
Sweden, Switzerland and Ireland cut diplomatic relations whit Germany.
