I like it!  Good way of getting the arseholes in power to pay attention to your needs. Of course it requires an alternative to the established power base to either action on its own or supply the incentive for kicking your own 'government' into action. |

Wonder they this would have really happen if the Soviets had funded a bridge and what the fallout would have been.
Local radio stations began reporting bomb threats toward any bridge built with communist help.

Wonder they this would have really happen if the Soviets had funded a bridge and what the fallout would have been. You might have had some nutters try that but this would be even better propaganda for the Soviets and embarrassment for the US so you might then have the US government step in to replace a destroyed bridge and take a hard line with any terrorists/vandals. |

Or say the FBI is ordered to investigate what would be a terrorist threat and root out any would be attackers. Well at least the FBI will not arrest the people of Vulcan for being Communist sympathizers, had it been a few years back in the 1960s it would be different i guess as a certain FBI director was in charge. |
