I do wonder if the move to deport the vast majority of the male population of fighting age would be simply to prevent them from rising up a little while down the line?

You mean deporting the male population in a occupied United Kingdom. Yes. Pretty much everyone. It would need to be, otherwise pretty much the only other option would be to dose the entire island with Zyklon B. I won't say that it would become as brutal as the Eastern front was reputed to be, but the British would give it a damn good go. |
