So I have this idea for a game. Tell me what you think.
UNITED KINGDOM OF AMERICA - A CONGRESS INFINITY GAME
Historical Context: In 1730, the treaty of Bern saw the kingdom of France annex the 13 colonies from Great Britain. For the next 45 years, the colonies would be repeatedly oppressed by the french and the native Americans in the land and in 1772, France and Spain merged into one country, creating a whole new list of problems as Spaniards started to become oppressed by the French and grew resentful of them, leading to the American Revolution that Coincided with the Great Hyper War.
In 1783, the colonies became their own country with the signing of the treaty of Dublin and only two months later, it was decided that Ferdinand Augustus, son of Frederick II of Prussia and Maria Theresa of Austria, was become king of the United Kingdom of America with the man who led the Revolution, James Armingstead, becoming the the first Grand Councillor. The last 8 years under the Armingstead Administration has been quite interesting and now it is time to see if the coalition that had formed under Armingstead can hold.
Political Parties: These are the current Political Parties and while I’ll be happy to add more political parties in the future, for every new political parties that is made, the founder will receive a penalty determined by a RNG.
Royalist,
Traditionalist,
Centralist,
Totalist,
Whig. There are the Non-Partisans, but they aren’t an actual Political party and are more or less just a bunch of independents.
Whig - Led by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, they believe that the monarchy was a complete betrayal of the revolution and that the french were a natural friend that they could’ve gained independence through peaceful request as Louis XVI of France wasn’t interested in war or the americas, only Europe. They are currently locked in by the Royalists and Centralists and have no real way of expansion. They are currently the smallest party in Congress with 5 seats.
Centralist - led by Alexander Hamilton and John Jay, they are the strongest supporters of a federal government with the monarchy remaining as a mere figurehead that can be dispatched at any time. They believe that the more control the government has, the better the Nation is. They are currently tied for being the second largest party in Congress with 20 seats; tied with the Traditionalists.
Royalists - Led by Aaron Burr and Philip Schuyler, they are loyal to the monarchy and the people and believe in non-partisan justice and a non-partisan economic sector. They do desire to restrict the monarchy as much as possible to not allow for a absolute monarchy, seeking to balance government with the federal government and the Justice branch. They maintain control in the central Northeast and with those states remain the most powerful party in Congress, just being 4 seats shy of a majority to pass any legislation they want. They are Currently the largest party in congress with 70 seats.
Traditionalist - Led by John Adams and John Hancock, they are the supporters of an american monarchy and are the exact opposite of the Centralists. To be short, they support a stronger Monarchy with the federal Government remaining to serve the monarch and aid him as much as possible. They believe if the monarch has more power, the nation is secure. They are tied for being the second largest Party in Congress with 20; tied with Centralists.
Totalist - led by George Washington and Benedict Arnold, these are the true exact opposite of the Whig party and desire for the monarchy to retain absolute control of the Nation and for the federal Government to be Abolished. They are also die-hard allies of the Prague Pact, consisting of Russia, Austria, and Prussia (The Latter two having its rulers be in marriage and their heir is the same person). They are currently the third largest party in Congress with 16 seats and will most likely gain Kentucky’s only seat in this Election.
Non-Partisans - Not a political party but instead a group of independents who dislike the partisan Bias of the Kingdom in its first few years. They currently have no seats in the Royal Congress but do have the governorship of the NW territory, though it is questionable how long they can hold it. Their most prominent members are James Armingstead, Councillor, Duke Arnold von Hohenzollern-Hapsburg of York, son the current king, and the King, Ferdinand I of House Hohenzollern-Hapsburg.

Mechanics: I’m sure many of you know how to play a congress Infinity Game better than I, so I assume you all know what to do. I’ll set the up what is the basic mechanics. Every 4 years there will be an election in which every seat will be up for an election and the party that has the most seats or is leading the congressional majority from the Election will have their leader be the new Councillor and they can make their own Cabinet. Every 2 years, midterms decide state legislatures. Every cabinet will have an RNG to determine its successes and Failures. One more note is that if a party has a control of a state legislature, the governor is a member of that party. If your character is a congressmen from the first formed congress in 1783 or the continental Congress of 1775, you will become a spokesperson for the party.
Every party will have a caucus on this poll website and at the end of 24 hours, the one with most votes will be the new party leader. If a tie happens, then it must be discussed between the two to decide what happens.
Snap Elections:
A snap election can be called at any time when a majority of 74 seats or more in congress calls for one and a snap election will be held the following year to determine who will win the congress of the next administration
No Confidence Vote:
Any party can hold a vote of no confidence if a player requests one for a party leader or a Councillor that has failed in the majority of their initiatives. This will then go to a poll and after 12 hours, the poll will close. If the winning vote is No confidence, the character in question is to resign their post as Party Leader, or Councillor, and any state positions they hold and thus the character will be disgraced and no longer playable, meaning a player will have to create a new character to replace them. NOTE: if it is against a Councillor, it must be against an incumbent as one whom has only just won it has no real time to prove themselves.
Player Mechanics: there are a few separate Branches for this:
Governing Party and Councillor:
The main actions of this game will centre around the incumbent Government's actions for their years in office. Whomever happens to be the Councillor of the governing coalition or political party will have the responsibility of publishing the orders for the RNG.
Opposition Party Leaders and Players:
Currently only two opposition parties exist: the Whigs and the Totalists. When an opposition leader loses an election, they don't become irrelevant until the next election. After an election, leaders of the party not in Government will act as the counter-balance to the Government. All opposition leaders will have to set out where their parties stands on the Government’s programme (Supportive or Opposing) and that will affect the thresholds for the RNG's of the Government years in office. The aim of this is to make years in opposition slightly more interesting while it still be minor enough to keep the focus on the elections.
Player Initiatives:
As said earlier, a player can suggest up to two initiatives a character, meaning that every player, barring the incumbent Councillor, will have the opportunity to do an individual initiatives that will influence the game. Of course with this game having a parliamentary structure (unless the Whigs get their way) there is more scope for players to try and pass their own legislation that will impact the game rather than the traditional initiatives of "campaigning for x party".
Territorial Governors: A player whom is playing as a governor for a territory can request a piece of their territory become a state and this will be up to an RNG. if it gets 1-10, the request is ignored or denied. 11-33, it barely passes. 34-67, it passes by moderately. 68-100 being a overwhelming pass and the territory piece that is requested to be a state will become a state with your party in control of the state legislature and you as the state’s first governor. If it fails or a territory isn’t requested to have a state made, it will become shaped like in OTL with the same name (unless it is not in the OTL USA) and RNG will determine controlling party (1-20 Totalists, 21-40 Traditionalists, 41-60 Royalists, 61-80 Centralist, 81-100 Whig).
For example, if a player requests a state be made in Modern day Indiana with some of Illinois, I will do an RNG and if it is between 11-100, the state will be made, you can name it accordingly and your party will control its legislature and it’s 1st seat in congress. Meanwhile if this doesn’t happen then I will do an RNG for a state that was added in OTL, like TN in 1796, to see which party controls it as it will still be made a state.
Duels:
Duels can Happen, but the game has a limit of 3 duels before it is taken away. By 1845, Duels will be banned from the game and no one can do a duel. Be warned, a duel means that your character has a possibility of dying unless your opponent has said that they have no intention to kill you. Either way, both characters will be banned if they both survive or the one that killed a character. It will all be determined by an RNG. if it is a high government official, such as Minister of State or Councillor, they will attempt to flee and a manhunt will ensue. The Manhunt will be determined by an RNG and if successful the party of the man the former government official killed will decide the punishment for the fugitive. If it is for lesser characters, such as Generals or governors, the person whom survives will be banned. DO NOT DO A DUEL UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!!!!
Character Creation:
Using the bio template, issues, and stats below, create your characters. For Historical Characters, players are allowed to use any historical character that has not run for President in the OTL.
