Now that will be interesting. I wonder what sort of companions she will have and what their relationship will be.

The current companion swings the other way - presuming she is continuing - and Captain Jack did likewise. Mind you the old foggies complaining about a female Doctor would probably be even more outraged if she has a close relationship with a companion, whether male or female.

Well what i am reading there are some who think the Doctor is and always has to be a man because he is not for nothing called a Time Lord and not a time Lady.

I don't think that was necessarily a major factor as there were significant female Time Lords in some episodes. Wonder if their actually been testing the water by having Missy about for the last couple of years?

Generally agree. A bit early to tell but the normal chaos of the doctor adjusting to a new identity was complicated possibly by being s(he) now being female.
There is one thing I did find totally unacceptable however. How dare they change the day to a Sunday!! Its always been on Saturday. Now that is sacrilege and heads should roll for that change. I was thinking/hoping it was a one off but next weeks episode is also going to be on Sunday.

Since Romana in Classic Who called herself a Time Lord, can we dump the revolting "Time Lady" please?
