Recently I've been getting into Dungeons and Dragons with some friends of mine. Craziest moment by far has been being busted out of jail after murdering a tavern bouncer, smashing a staircase with my warhammer (named Fourth Wall Break) to hurt a guard, and then setting said guard on fire.
Throughout my campaigns I have for the most part stayed with my character Gary Sue Protagonist. A combination of Han Solo and Deadpool, he is aware he is a character in an RPG. He wields a warhammer, mentioned previously, also having a pet mouse named Comic Relief.
Before that I had dabbled in Pathfinder, playing Bob the Scot, a scotsman with an armored kilt who smoked weed.
Anyone else partake in such things?

Used to play FRPGs back in the late 80's when at university. Haven't have the contacts for a very long while to play one of them and in the last couple of years the time either. Used to do some board gaming but again lack of opponents and more recently also time rules that out. Still have games I haven't played for 20-30 years gathering dust in the spare room. Best I do know is when I'm at home I have a weeking hot seat computer session with a mate.

RPGs were in the 1st year a modified D&D system and in the other two a system called Rolemaster, which was based more on Middle Earth. In terms of board games the main one I played, both at university and with a friend from there for about a decade afterwards was Advanced Third Reich, which is a great gain but haven't played it for about 20 years. A number of other games I played, but main one I can remember was Imperial Romanium II, although that too often relied on one big battle because of the way morale worked. Lot of other games, generally much shorter. There was one based on assorted settlements/invasions of Britain from 44BC to 1066, which I think was called Britannia - at mum's at the moment so don't have access to my games. Another was called the Fall of Rome and Rise of the Barbarians and another set during the siege of Jerusalem, was it ~73AD? In terms of the hot seat games for a long time we played Master of Orion II and have recently resumed playing this as have found a site for old DOS based games that supported it. [After I upgraded about 5 years or so ago my PC no longer supported it. In the intervening period we generally played Rome Total War, using an on-line systems that allowed multi-player games but that was a bit buggy and only the phasing player could play their own site in tactical battles. Which given how weak the AI often was was very frustrating!
