It is well known that the Canadian flag features the "Canadian Pale," a pure Canadian addition alongside the heraldic pale, but what if the Canadians had chosen a "Canadian Fess" instead?    I like the original Canadian flag a little bit more. |

I've always preferred the so-called "Pearson Pennant" and I generally use that as the flag for Canada in my ATLs.
