Jeb Bush is a Bush. Maybe Chris Christie could talked Trump's authenticity brand. Sorry forgot that, what about John Kasich ore Chris Christie, or are they to low to run and win. Kasich won't win but Christie may have a shot in New Hampshire. But it was such an open race and defined by Trump there are so many ways it could go. |

I'm unsure how the general election would have gone. The conventional wisdom says that the Trump was a good candidate because he did great with the white working class. However he ran a terrible campaign and was historically unpopular, and the fundamentals always pointed to a Republican win. Down-ballot Republicans did better than Trump. He only won because Hillary Clinton was also very unpopular. I think most Republicans would win and win the popular vote too.

Also in this universe except maybe the Russian hacking of the DNC there will be not other Russian involvement, unless other Republicans who in OTL ran for presidents have relations with the Russians. |

Trump really got Jeb where Jeb didn't expect-on his personality and he was the only one who attacked the Bushes. Jeb may well have been the nominee without Trump and could have narrowly beaten Hillary Clinton.

Probably not Jeb was the establishment candidate and frontrunner before Trump and Hillary Clinton was also unpopular. I think Rubio and Cruz would probably be most likely nominees, maybe Chris Christie or someone else. |
