Part 1 1934
While observing a another alternate earth, Q a almighty being decides to change it, having already sent the Galaxy class starship USS Yamato [1] to a another dimension and gave it to the Japanese empire of that earth he decides that this time he will send a starship and give it to a nation who is not that powerful.
First he has to seek a starship that he can send back, after thinking for a couple of seconds he comes up whit the perfect starships for this, using his fast powers zaps himself to the USS Amsterdam [2] a Galaxy class starship orbiting near the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, Mars in the year 2373.
Now having found the ship he needs for the job, he begins to think about the right person to run it, after going true the persons of the nation he wants to give it, he comes up whit the right person.
Whit one snap he and the USS Amsterdam disappear heading to another dimension and another earth.
What appears to be seconds for the USS Amsterdam is really a inter dimension time travel spanning almost 440 years.
Whit no damage the USS Amsterdam appears in orbit of the new planet earth, the second thing Q dos is zapping the person he wants from his office to the bridge of the USS Amsterdam.
This person is kapitein-luitenant ter zee ( commander) Karel Doorman officer in the Royal Netherlands Navy, whit commander Doorman know present Q appears and explains to commander Doorman that he has been chosen to command the starship USS Amsterdam and to help him in this job he will be given all the knowledge to operate the ship and it system.
After only 4 minutes Q disappears, leaving commander Doorman alone onboard the USS Amsterdam, will standing onboard what he know is the bridge, commander Doorman pinches himself in order to check if he is not dreaming, after conforming that he is not dreaming when he feels pain he decides to conform that he is still in the year that he was before being zapped onboard this starship.
So his first act as captain of the USS Amsterdam is asking the onboard computer what the current year is, the computer responds June 27th 1934.
Now knowing that it’s all real and he is still in the year 1934, Commander Doorman decides that this situation is more then he can handle, so after thinking he decides to go to the transport room and beam somebody up who he knows he can trust and can help him.
After walking towards the nearest transport room he first has to find coordinates where the chief of naval staff is, the person he is planning to beam up, knowing it Tuesday and still early in the morning he narrows it down to the naval headquarters in Den Helder, after getting the fix on he engages and seconds later a bewildered commander of the royal Netherlands navy is standing on the transport pad.
The high ranking chief of naval staff and also the minister of navy vice-admiral Janssen is not at first happy that he is beamed up to a strange please wile during a meeting , but after seeing commander Doorman and latter getting a explanation he begins to calm down.
After a hour of talking en walking true the corridors of the USS Amsterdam, vice-admiral Janssen a man who is struggling to keep the royal Netherlands navy a strong force in times that cutbacks a more normal then an exception begins to believe that the USS Amsterdam might be the answer the Kingdom of the Netherlands needs to remain a strong country.
So after being escorted back to the transporter room and bin given a combadge by commander Doorman, vice-admiral Janssen beams down to the naval headquarters leaving commander Doorman alone to explore the newest addition to the royal Netherlands navy.

Part 2 1935
A year has passed sins the appearance of the USS Amsterdam in earth orbit and Commander Doorman being zapped on board the starship.
In that year both commander Doorman and Vice-admiral Janssen spend a lot of time learning much about the future by reading PADDs [1] and visiting the many holodecks, during one of those visit commander Doorman discovered that he would die in a future naval battle against the Japanese which kind of shock him but also made him more resolved to use the USS Amsterdam for the good of the kingdom.
Vice-admiral Janssen decided early in on that it would be best that no other nation would be involved as the information and technology discovered onboard the ship would result in.
So he gathered some people he could trust from the Royal Netherlands Navy, Royal Netherlands Army, government officials and people from major companies in the Netherlands like Fokker, Philips, DAF, Schell, Wilton-Fijenoord and the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij.
After many discussions the agreed to form an oversight commission who would guide the Netherlands in the right direction while also forming a new branch of the royal Netherlands armed forces called the royal Netherlands space force/koninklijke nederlandse ruimte dienst.
Whit the oversight commission formed result began to quickly like the USS Amsterdam who would become the flagship of the Royal Netherlands Space Force , commander Doorman would be promoted to rear admiral and become its commander.
The USS Amsterdam would be renamed KNRS Amsterdam and become the flagship of the royal Netherlands space force and the royal Netherlands navy would provide the crew for the starship while the royal Netherlands army would provide its security detail and landings detail.
Also the oversight commission after many long discussions came to the conclusion that war whit Germany or Japan was possible and therefore decided that the Netherlands would begin to rearm as fast as possible and whit all needs available.
Some of the things the Netherlands government decided to order in the first year where.
- The building of four Tromp-class cruisers and eight Gerard Callenburgh-class destroyers who will be build whit technology from the RNSS Amsterdam and information from and should be in service before 1940.
- The car manufacturer DAF would build for the royal Netherlands army more than 240 heavily modified M.35 armored cars based on the Landsverk M.39 armored car.
- Fokker which was the main aircraft manufacturer in the Netherlands would start building the Fokker G-1 fighter-cruiser, Fokker D-21 mono-wing fighter who would be slightly different that the original in great numbers, Fokker also would begin using the information from both the ship library and the holodecks in designing a fighter capable of handling any adversary in the sky.
And the last thing that was decided was that the naval bases of Den Helder, Soerabaja , Tjilatjap and Parera would be modernized and upgraded.

The royal Netherlands navy first two Tromp-class cruisers who’s construction began both in late 1935 and in early 1936 is progressing as planned whit the last two Tromp-class cruisers construction to begin before the end of 1936 , the six Gerard Callenburgh-class destroyers construction is also underway in several shipyards across the country in order to get them finished before 1940.
The royal Netherlands army in early 1936 created the 1st special forces regiment while the royal Netherlands marines began their one expansions, the 1st special forces regiment is also the regiment slated to complete operations for the royal Netherlands space force when the operated under its command, the royal Netherlands marines can also be used by the royal Netherlands space force if needed.
