Don't know enough to comment, but given the potential point of departure being as early as 1830, I'd think there would be a LOT of potential deltas that would have to be resolved, diplomatically or otherwise, and Luxembourg would be one of them.
One thing I wonder about is if a "German Empire" organized as a constitutional monarchy under the terms of the Frankfurt Diet in 1848w ould bem ore attractive to the Danes, Dutch, Austrians, etc.

One thing I wonder about is if a "German Empire" organized as a constitutional monarchy under the terms of the Frankfurt Diet in 1848w ould bem ore attractive to the Danes, Dutch, Austrians, etc. Best, I would think that the German Confederation could become more of a permanent thing instead of it being replaced with the German Empire, especially if the French and Prussians have good relations, also i do wonder if the Prussians if they have good relations try to keep July Monarchy and prevent it fall in 1848.

Certainly possible; I think a F-P alliance that begins in 1830 with LP and FW as "friendly monarchs" could have opened the door to FW saying yes to the Frankfurt Diet's plan for a constitutional monarchy sort of German Empire...
