In 1977 the Soviet and Warsaw pact invade Rumania to stop their program on weapon of Mass destruction and remove Ceaușescu from power. |

This also reminds me of the AH classic For All Time, where literally every country has atomic weapons. The POD is FDR dies two weeks after Pearl Harbor. It just becomes a dystopia from that point on. |
