So it turns out that high school teams are fitted with tanks that are less good than the University Student Selection Team who they had to fight in the movie and who fielded T28 Super Heavy Tank,M26 Pershings,a Karl-Gerät self-propelled siege mortar and a Centurion MK.III. Well of course, got to make it challencing enough for the protagonist to be forced to recruit the help of the other Schools. Well it was a good but i still think that a Karl-Gerät should not be classified as a tank and therefore should not have been allowed in the match. Here is a map i found of the tanks used by the school during that game.

Well, both Oarai, Anzio and Schwartzwald had tank destroyers and Pravda had a howitzer so appearantly what classifies as a tank ends at "it got tracks and a turret". Welp, With 24 Pershings, Oarai certainly got their work cut out for them. On the other hand, I have a feeling that the university team is going to fall into the same trap as Schwartzwald did and stick to predictable tactics. So it is good that Miho has some underdogs at her side to get more creative tactics and Maho and Darjeeling to test them against.

Seeing the movie i will not spoil it for you but it does not go as planned for the joint high school team at first.

I expected that, you got to establish the opponent as capable or it would feel underwhelming when the protagonist win. The victory needs to feel earned. Also Wild Guess: the T-38 and Karl-Gustav are some as being very powerful but very impractical as well, especially against small and nimble targets?

You need in every big show down one or two tanks that are from the WoW category like the Maus in the last episode of the serie.

I think the Maus was the only one which qualifies for the "wow"-category considering it was the only one that made everybody og "oh crap, we are screwed" and required a very creative tactic to take Down (although they could have simply baited it into a corner and destroyed its tracks, thus saving themselves much trouble and the Hetzer).

The only use this tank destroyer is ever going to see is as a mobile bunker in need of an Escort or else the opponent Will simply be driving around it and shoot it in the back until the flag goes up. And the Karl-Geralt is a siege gun, it is supposed to attack fortifications (which it excellently at Sevatspol), not tanks. Makes me question why the university team even has one beside rule of cool.

I think they have the Karl-Geralt for using at tanks that are staying at one place or a place that is easy defended like a top of a hill.

Seems the movie is now out with subs. Also a picture of all the tanks the joint high school team posses in the grand battle in the movie.
