What if Bulgaria joined Mussolini's 1940 attack on Greece, either as part of a premeditated simultaneous assault, or as an inspired, newly recruited ally within 4 weeks of the Italians starting the attack.
How does that change the Italo-Greek war and subsequent events in the Balkans?

According to this - by 1939 the Armed forces consisted of the Army of 4 Armies totalling 10 Infantry 2 Cavalry Divisions, Navy and Airforce totalling 72250 Officers and Ranks and something of the build up of the Armed Forces.

How does that change the Italo-Greek war and subsequent events in the Balkans? Well, greece did perform very well and brave against the numerical superior italians. How they perform with another frontline is interesting. Let´s play the devils advocate. Bulgaria surprise the greece and together they beat them. Would the coup in yougoslavia be avoided, also the german operations here I read once that the wear and tear on the german equipment was important, Also the losses, esp. the paras at crete and the significant losses of transport planes and experienced pilots had a significant impact on Barbarossa. How big? No clue, but let´s say the germans have enough spare parts, enough fuel for their tanks to take in the south sevastopol on the fly and in the north they take leningrad. Unpleasant because hitler and the nazis propably would have slaughtered the - otl - surviving civilians. But that is something for another thread. Esp. with my cat attacking the keyboard
