Been playing a lot of Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia lately. It takes a while to get going and the simplified combat system takes a while to get used to but it is still a solid game. It is just sad that the number of support conversations has been cut down quite drastically, especially since they are fully voice acted now. I do like most of the character designs though, especially the realistic armours after the previous games empathise on fanservice and/or rule of cool.

Is there a big difference between this Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem Fates.

Is there a big difference between this Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem Fates. Not that much. The biggest difference between the two is that SoV does not include the weapon triangle (that one took some time to get used to), weapon degradition, fliers vurnerability to arrows (though Archers can still learn it With the right Equipment), seals, team-ups, character limits and shipping (I know, what is Shipping Simulator without shipping?). It also features explorable dungeons and a fatigue systems that you don't really need to bother With unless you are exploring a dungeon or the Battle drags on for freaking ever (looking at you, Grieth). Also, it seems the Fire Emblem itself Will be absent from this game, which does make some sense since this is a spin-off of the first Fire Emblem game, Shadow Dragon.

Well, it is a remake but considering the original game never made it to the west I would be hard-pressed to say if it is an improvement or not. As for wether it is better than Fates, I think Depends on wether you liked the extra features of Fates or just cared about the gameplay. Because this game is pretty much all about the gameplay and the story.

I especially liked that it was much more forgiving then the previous two, even if it leaves much to be desired in the map design and waifu material department.

I hope it is at least as good as the previous game was. Every game where you can evil Nazis, is a good game, or am i wrong. 'Points at Wolfenstein 2009' Yes, you are wrong. A single feature does not make a game good by default. However, we can still pray to RNGesus that this game Will be great.
