Of course, both countries will have to adjust to the fact that they now speak one another's languages, with the appropriate revisals of records and dubbings of recordings and whatnot. |

Maybe to make it easier on both countries, America and Soviet Russia still retain the ability to speak their original languages (merely opting to speak either Russian or English reflexively). |

That would make a big difference. I was thinking before I read that of the possible impact on Hollywood given that all its new output would be in Russian! However if their bilingual then while it will help some people who interactive with the other nation, or in the case of the Russians with the rest of the world the impact would be minimal, other than a lot of people being very, very puzzled.
Again if not for that then Soviets - checking back to the original post it counts them all rather than just Russians - that makes a greater sense of unity in a way as their all now got a common language. Or by the comment above is it only the Russian speakers in the USSR that are affected and other nationalities are not.
