A week before D-Day, all military and naval equipment and ammunition stored in the UK by the Allies, disappears? That will srew up the Allied plan to end the war by invading France, but i doubt it will save the Germans.

It won't save the Germans, although Soviet losses will be heavier but you could end up with the Red Army in Paris, or at least the Netherlands and Belgium and possibly N Italy. All the materials, munitions and weapons in the UK will disappear and since that includes the bulk of the British and US forces and much of the naval strength will be gone as well, which will have a negative impact on the Battle of the Atlantic. Even if just taken literally as items in store, i.e. excluding weapons and equipment in hand with the forces, its going to hurt. If equipment includes things like the Mulberry harbours then that would set any allied attack back even further. Your not going to get a western invasion of NW Europe before spring 45 at the very earliest.
It might force the allies to return forces to Italy and possibly the Balkans when they get equipment for them, although those planned for the S France landings should be unaffected other than possibly the lack of transport and amphibious assault craft so they might be able to reinforce the operations in Italy.
Its also going to be a huge shock to the allies that all this equipment simply disappears and at least there will be some fear of it possibly happening again. Also come to think of it you will see a number of deaths as a number of ships and boats suddenly disappears.

WI Mass Death Scenarios Suddenly Spamed Alternate Timelines--Without Explanation? For one, firestorms would ensue amongst the mods as they go WTF?! before scrambling to get the situation fixed, best case scenario.

WI Mass Death Scenarios Suddenly Spamed Alternate Timelines--Without Explanation? For one, firestorms would ensue amongst the mods as they go WTF?! before scrambling to get the situation fixed, best case scenario. Than people would be kicked as the rules of Rules and Guidelines of ASB are clear and which are: ASB and mass death scenarios
The ASB board is for scenarios that require some thought and can generate a discussion, not for figuratively throwing a bucket of blood on the wall, thus there are in my view two mass death scenarios, the first one is mass death scenario by stupidity which are mass death scenarios where people drop a country ore large amount of people into a empty world ore drop lets say 1, 10 ore 100 billion into our world knowing a lot of people are going to die for no reason, these threads i do not approve of nor will tolerate on the forum, the second one is call mass death by scenario and that implies there is a reason behind it like mass death scenarios found in books, movies, games ore like in this, a timeline, those i can approve as they are a work in fiction.

Well, in that case, there'd be a whole lot of people to kick since the forum would've been spamed with hypothetical mass-death. I wonder if any of them might flock to a space on the web where those sorts of scenarios are allowed--maybe even start a board that features them. Weird suggestion, I know. Anyways, "WI Ian the Admin and Lordroel Switched Bodies?" Even if it weren't ASB, it would still be unwelcome around these parts due to the controversy it'd inevitably stir up. But that's not for me to prattle on about here.

This just occurred to me. The world wakes up one morning with all the US 1$ bill picturing Benedict Arnold and they find all history books refer to him as the great leader who won the revolutionary wars and George Washington as the traitor who tried to defect to the British. Possibly also including all schools, museums etc that were named after Washington now being named after Arnold and his picture replacing George on Mount Rushmore. Doubly confusing if everybody actually remembers OTL version.

Possibly also including all schools, museums etc that were named after Washington now being named after Arnold and his picture replacing George on Mount Rushmore. Doubly confusing if everybody actually remembers OTL version. I feel as if the US government would launch a full, nationwide investigation of why the hell Ben and George had their roles swapped if they remembered OTL's version. Your scenario could be a springboard for ASB making the inverse true, meaning we remember Washington as the American Revolutionary and Arnold as the treacherous defector when it would've been the precise opposite. As for my own thread idea, "WI It Started Raining Smartphones In The 1950s?" They may not be too useful to the Average Joe without power sources and/or reception (though they'd be treasure troves for the STEM community and governments who want a piece of the pie), but if we were to assume suspension of disbelief and make them work just fine anyways...

Ah yeah, they'd accelerate as they fell from so high in the sky and would smack the surface and people below with some rather destructive amounts of force. Whoops. Maybe we could have huge piles of smartphones randomly show up everywhere instead?
