So the Green Party not becomes the Oil Party ore something like that. |

Good thing, because a thread like that in the ASB board in general would not survive long. Believe me, I deduced that way ahead of time. Even though all three parties will have lost their marbles in this scenario, I'd probably go with the Libertarians if I had to pick one. At least as a bunch of ancaps, they don't want to take my stuff and meddle in my business--very much unlike the totalitarians in that have overtaken both the Democratic and Republican Parties thanks to ASB shenanigans. |

Well isn't this OTL, at least in the eyes of the more extreme elements.  The Democrats are communists to hard line Republicans, the Republicans are fascists to hard line Democrats and I suspect that many people can't tell much difference between Libertarians and Anarchists. |

Well isn't this OTL, at least in the eyes of the more extreme elements. The Democrats are communists to hard line Republicans, the Republicans are fascists to hard line Democrats and I suspect that many people can't tell much difference between Libertarians and Anarchists. Regarding your first sentence, it seems so. But that's not the point; the point is that regardless of what the hardliners on both sides think (though this will certainly lend them armories, no doubt), both Republicans and Democrats alike become actual fascists and communists respectively. Secondly, you are aware that most Libertarians are small-government as opposed to no-government folks, right? I'm pretty sure that most people recognize that such a distinction exists, else they'd be associated with the bomb-throwing, arsonists lunatics of the early 20th Century (who, by the way, are not anarcho-capitalists in any way, shape or form). But now I'm getting tangential. |

Well, I'm guessing it'll be easier for the likes of the UK to dissolve their monarchies than for the US to establish its own. In the latter case, I think the candidates would be especially hard to find (aside from crowning Trump or something, which is probably too political for the ASB board). |
