Have anyone seen the 2007 Filipino Movie Resiklo since it was set on year 2021 when the Aliens knows as the Balangs(Locusts) been taking over the World as the Nations of the World been fighting back against the aliens for a while it become a loosing battle which lead to the Alien Occupation on Earth and those hapless Humans been converted into Mutanos (Mutated Humans) to served their Balang Overlords as the Humans across the world been scavenging and Recycling Materials to create weapons and launching a Guerilla Warfare against the Balangs and Mutanos.
in December 2021, Resiklo is the story of Crisval Sarmiento, an ex-military Colonel who leads a rag-tag group of survivors in the Philippines against the insect-like alien invaders known as the Balangs (locusts). "Because of the enormous expenditures in resources during the invasion (hinted in the movie's opening credits), the humans are forced to scavenge the destroyed landscape for anything that could be recycled and put to use at their secret sanctuary, called Paraiso (Paradise).
They are in a race against time, as in addition to the resource gathering, the survivors are fighting to eliminate the Balangs and their human collaborators, the Mutanos (mutated humans), while keeping Paraiso's location secret and along the way, uncovering the truth behind the invasion as well.

Thanks to the AFP modernization in the previous decade, at least the Philippines has a change to fight the Balangs. Guerrilla warfare will be the main form of warfare.

United States Armed Forces been had an intial setbacks by the Balangs after the Balangs occupied Washington D.C New York and Philadelphia of course NORAD been served as a command center for US Armed Forces where the President and Joint Chiefs of Staff been commanding plans on fighting the Balangs and Mutanos while the American Resistance and US Army been resorting a Guerrila Warfare and stealing Alien Weapons for their own use.

I do not know about this one. My tastes in Filipino movies runs to historical set pieces like "Goyo: The Boy General" and 1898: Our Last Men in the Philippines. Maybe it is because I prefer genuine attempts at decent historical drama to Michael Bay imitation movies. For the record, I 'detest' Michael Bay movies. |

Resiklo is one of the most well-known sci-fi movies in Filipino cinema. It does have a great AH backstory premise that could be expanded.
