Other post about the Navy: A better Philippine Navy in the Cold War to present day
Posted by CDR Mark R. Condeno in the Defense of the Republic of the Philippines Facebook Page. I was able to gather on what aircraft the Philippine Air Force was supposed to procure from the Cold War to Present Day.
These were the following:
The F/A-18 Hornet was the closest to have almost made it to the PAF had it not been for the 1997-98 Asian Financial Crisis.

Because of that, the Philippine Air Force continued using the F-5 until a fatal crash occurred during the Balikatan Exercises with U.S. forces in 2002. From there, the PAF grounded the F-5s and were finally decommissioned in 2005. The country basically became "jet-less" from 2005 to November 2015 as the primary jet it only possessed three S-211 subsonic jet trainers converted into light attack aircraft. The rest were propeller planes such as the OV-10 Bronco and the SF-260. The only attack choppers used were the MD-520G (variant of the MD500 Defender) which was converted into an armed scout chopper/light attack helicopter.

Balikatan, in its 35th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise, which focuses on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, counter-terrorism, and other combined military operations held from April 1 to April 12. Balikatan enables participating forces to maintain a high level of readiness and responsiveness and enhances combined military-to-military relations and capabilities. (U.S. Army Photo by Sgt. On November 28, 2015, the first two fighter F/A-50s landed in Clark Air Base, Philippines. This was followed by the arrival of eight AW-109 light attack helicopters, four C-295 transport aircraft, and 2 C-130s in the years between 2015 to 2017. Four more C-130s are on order.
