Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season 2 - Teaser Promo
I'm getting a message that it "contains content from CBS CID, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds". Don't know if anyone else is having problems?

Strange New Worlds Season 2 Episode 8: A much darker episode than the previous and one that provides no easy resoluions. Pike and M'Benga both make excellent points and their dynamic has a Kirk vs Sisko vibe.

Not sure if this belongs here but here is my (revised) look at what a Star trek Phase II series might have looked like:
Star Trek: Phase II
Cast:
Stephen Collins as Captain William Decker Recently promoted, Will Decker takes command of the enterprise from a retiring James T. Kirk. John Winston as Commander Kyle An experienced officer, Kyle serves as first officer. Persis Khambatta as Lt. Commander Ilia (season 1 and 2) An old flame from Decker’s past, Ilia is an empath with healing abilities. Robin Curtis as Lt. Saavik (season 3) Ilia’s “temporary” replacement (following Khambatta’s injury in a car accident in West Germany). She is half Romulan, which made her an outcast in both Romulan and Vulcan society. Like her mentor Spock, who supported her admission into Starfleet, she often struggles with her emotional half. David Gautreaux as Lieutenant Xon Another Vulcan crew member who serves as helmsman. Majel Barret as Chief Medical Officer Christine Chapel Former nurse from the original Enterprise who now serves as its doctor. Following on from the Babylon 5 post a video linked to that, by the same author attracted my interests and looks at how the Dominion War changed Star Fleet and the Federation. I hadn't realised the full impact of the DS9 cycle, although other than Voyager I haven't seen later series - at least not those set later - because their not on standard TV channels.

The Dominion War is in my top 3 of best future space war story arcs.

DS9 is my favourite ST series largely because the space base and the dominion war gives it a coherent plot that last's through the entire length of the series. Rather than individual operations that never really link into a larger whole. Enterprise and on a smaller level Voyager had this - with the latter being the ship's attempts to get home but never to quite the same degree.
