But the name Michigan was already taken from 1977 onward when USS Michigan (SSGN-727) was being build and latter commissioned into service.

Not a problem. I figure it will take 10 years to design, build and work out the kinks of a brand new Type of major warship like the BBGN-1. USS Michigan (SSGN-727) was commissioned 1982. Her useful life has to pretty close to over in a few more years. So the name will be available for BBGN-1 long before she is commissioned.

And how can man die better than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers and the temple of his God?
