I repeat, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, has been shot.... According to ABS-CBN News Anchor Karen Davila of "Headstart", she has confirmed that Philippine President Benigno SC Aquino, III has also been shot & is wounded. Both were rushed to Makati Medical Center in Makati City, Philippines for emergency surgery. Wait a minute, I believe, we're getting something new from the information desk, I believe this information is about live video of the situation in Manila.

We're not sure if this is a coup attempt, terrorist attack or whatever other incident, but we're getting more information coming in now that Acting President Biden has ordered US SECDEF Chuck Hagel to sending 56,000 troops to Korea as well as an additional 5,000 US Military personnel over to Taiwan.
I am told that US Forces Korea, UN Forces Command & the Republic of Korea Armed Forces have launched a joint coordinated effort in rounding up suspected co-conspirators, detaining hundreds of suspected people, who are being suspected of involvement in the assassination attempt on President Obama in Manila."

Davila: "Good afternoon everyone. Live at the ABS-CBN News Studios in Manila, I am Karen Davila & this is a special edition of "Headstart". As you may have heard earlier, at 2:30 PM, both US President Barack Obama & Philippine President Benigno SC Aquino, III were both shot during the Honor Guard Inspection of the Welcoming Honors Ceremony on the grounds of Malacanang Palace. 57 shots were fired as several US Secret Service agents, Presidential Security Group agents, PNP officers, several dignitaries including several well-wishers in the crowd were struck by gunfire. I am told by Ces Drilon of "Bandila", who is live outside of Makati Medical Center, she is reporting that President Aquino, III was hit in the left side of his back & shoulder, while unconfirmed reports state President Obama was hit in the head. That's an unconfirmed report... Ok, let me get that out real quick (Davila talking to the communication staff inside via telephone).
We are told that soon after the shooting, the Presidential limousine carrying Presidents Obama & Aquino, III, was speeding at a record-high pace to Makati Medical Center, which arrived at 3:33 PM. Immediately, the entire hospital & surrounding areas were quickly placed on lock-down as the US Forces Philippines, Armed Forces of the Philippines & other law enforcement agencies began nationwide lock-down all over the Philippines due to a national emergency. Now, Ok. Hold it. Hold it.
..... I am being told by Bernadette Sembrano of "TV Patrol" through the earpiece here that we do have footage of the shooting & if you've got young kids, you might want to advise them to go to their rooms because the following footage is extremely graphic, we're going to air this right now via RTVM: [Full video showing Obama & Aquino, III getting hit, with Obama getting a vicious, graphic head shot, causing the right backside of his head getting blasted out; few members of the AFP Honor Guard & PSG Marching Band members getting hit; several spectators in the crowd getting hit by gunfire; several US Secret Service agents & Philippine PSG agents also get hit by gunfire].
It appears that both President Obama & President Aquino, III were hit by gunfire in the footage we just saw, but there has been no confirmation of such & I refuse to report that officially at this time. But it does, going off appearance, seem to suggest that Presidents Obama & Aquino, III were injured due to the high volume of Secret Service agents & PSG agents surrounding them & the seeming slowness of their efforts to getting them into the limousine. I believe.....my earpiece is talking again, one minute..... I understand. I'll report that right now.
We can confirm that President Obama & President Aquino, III were both hit by gunfire & both are currently undergoing preparation for surgery at Makati Medical Center in Makati City, Philippines. We're joined by our Malacanang Correspondent......."

Makati Medical Center 4:53 PM PHST, Monday, April 28th, 2014 Makati Medical Center, Makati City, Philippines.
The surgeons were working hard to save President Obama's life, whose life was teetering on fading away fast due to the severity of his gunshot wounds as well as one of the nurses, trying to hold onto whatever was left of the right backside of his head, which obviously showed lots of hanging brain matter including parts of the goo-ing brain matter falling out, which scared the Hell out of Loisa Manzano, who was one of the youngest surgeon assistants "This scares me alot. Seeing parts of the brains of the President of the United States, falling out of his head like that. I thought I had seen worse" she wondered inside her inner thoughts. US Navy Rear Admiral & Physician to the President, Ronny Jackson was at the President's side along with US Secret Service Director Julia Pierson (who had been blowing up the phones in a nearby waiting room, loudly imploring law enforcement assistance on what had just transpired at Malacanang Palace) & several members of the Presidential entourage, who were traveling with Obama during the Pacific Tour.
"C'mon! We're losing him fast. Where in the Hell is that blood transfusion God DAMN IT ?" snapped Dr. Winston Arevalo, who was trying his hardest in saving Obama's life. Arevalo & the other surgeons had found the bullets, taken out of Obama's body, placing them into a special case since it was considered federal evidence. The operating room was very large & overlooking in a private room above upstairs was US Marine Corps Brigadier General Tucker McPhee, who was one of the military attaches present during the shooting at Malacanang, pacing around saying "Where did those shots come from ? Why couldn't I run over there to get them out of danger ?" McPhee was saying to himself as he was getting ready to speak with US Marine Corps General James F. Amos, Commandant of the Marine Corps, of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
It was closer to 5:00 PM PHST & Obama began to flatline quickly. "Oh my God. We're losing him. Get me the electric machines to bring him back now" yelled Arevalo. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6" he was saying as he used the electric machine by placing the two large electric mats on the President's chest & pressed hard as Obama's body shook upward a little bit. "AGAIN Manzano", when she kept pressing the electric machine to get the President's vital signs going again, but once again: he flatlined again. It was 5:21 PM PHST. Manzano decided to do the old-fashioned way of trying to save his life by pressing on the dying President's chest & trying to get a response...... Makati Medical Executive Director, Dr. Roberto Dela Cruz walked over to Manzano, telling her sternly "Young lady. I think it's time to stop" Loisa ignored her superior's demands, "There's still time to save the President sir." as she continued doing the old-fashioned routine in saving Obama's life. Dela Cruz looked at his watch, it was 5:27 PM PHST. "Manzano. I am going to officially call the time of death. 5:27 PM PHST." With that, the entire world came to a sudden stop.....

(Fox News Contributor Eboni Williams was on the verge of crying as she's being consoled by Juan Williams & Jessica Tarlov off-camera). Vice President Biden (clearing his throat again) has been notified of the President's death while he was in the Situation Room of the White House, but we don't know to where he has proceeded at this point. Presumably, he will be taking the Oath of Office shortly & become the 47th President of the United States. Now America has 6 Presidents, who have been assassinated in office: Abraham Lincoln (April 15th, 1865), James Garfield (September 19th, 1881), William McKinley (September 14th, 1901), John F. Kennedy (November 22nd, 1963), Gerald R. Ford (September 5th, 1975) & now Barack H. Obama (April 28th, 2014).

Michelle 11:32 AM EST, Monday, April 28th, 2014 Private Family Residence (3rd Floor), White House, Washington, DC. Monday, January 21st, 2013: Inauguration Day: The Obama's during happier times.
She wanted to faint, but was too stunned to do that or anything else for that matter. Her mind went completely numb too, the reality slowly sinking in fast with a greater, strong force than she could ever anticipated. She continued to stare in the mournful eyes of White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, White House Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett, United States Senator Mark R. Warner (D-VA) & his wife, Lisa Collis. McDonough repeated again, "I'm sorry Mrs. Obama. I am so, so truly sorry." Without a word, she turned & raced towards the liquor cabinet behind her, & shaking profusely, she poured herself a martini (shaken with ice), spilling some off the side of the glass as she trembled in shock & obviously shaking. She turned towards Warner & Collis. She took a couple of sips & immediately, as if a spell had been broken or a fog being lifted altogether, she quickly fell to her knees & began to cry upon facing the realization that her husband of 22 years simply wasn't coming home for good (more on that later in the TL)....
"BARRY!" she sobbed, "OH MY GOD! NOT MY BARRY! WHAT AM I GOING TO TELL MY DAUGHTERS THAT THEIR FATHER IS GONE & NOT COMING BACK ?" Jarrett watched, her stomach knotted by the scene playing out before her very eyes. She joined Michelle on her knees & wrapped her arms around her. It was of little comfort, but it distracted her from the likelihood that her time in the White House was coming to a permanent close. Inside the First Lady's private office, the phone rang, & a young female intern darted behind them to answer it. She came back down the hall at once, & spoke to Mrs. Obama in a quiet, soft voice. "Madam First Lady" she said, "President Biden is on the line."
Soon after speaking with President Biden & incoming First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Mrs. Obama was driven towards Andrews AFB in Prince Georges County, MD, stepping on a USAF plane within 3 HRS after being told the devastating news in order to make preparation plans on collecting the late President's remains & flying to Chicago, IL aboard Air Force One (Air Force One was still on the tarmac at Ninoy Aquino International Airport) for a final flight. Joining her were daughters Malia & Sasha, who joined their mother at the last minute to avoid the heavy onslaught of the press, who had arrived at the White House. Meanwhile, the cameras of all of the major national TV Networks (CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, C-SPAN, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Fox Business, etc.,) were being trained on the podium set up in the East Room of the White House, where President Biden was set to be sworn into office as the 47th President of the United States. His road to the White House came not through electoral triumph, but rather tragedy & other difficult problems: 1988 & 2008 saw his previous White House dreams dashed. Following his election to the United States Senate in 1972, Biden's first wife, Neilia Hunter Biden & daughter, Naomi Christina, were killed in an automobile accident while Christmas shopping on December 18th, 1972, when Neilia's station wagon was hit by a tractor-trailer truck as she pulled out from an intersection. Biden's sons, Hunter & Beau survived the accident & were taken to the hospital in fair condition. Biden had at first considered resigning, but was talked into not doing so once then-US Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfield (D-MT) intervened. Biden later married Jill Jacobs Biden on June 18th, 1977, where daughter, Ashley Blazer was born on June 8th, 1981. Biden went onto serving in the United States Senate for 36 consecutive years, winning reelection in 1978, 1984, 1990, 1996, 2002 & again in 2008 (the same year he was elected VP). Being tapped as VP by Obama in 2008 revived his political career. Fate struck again; at long last, Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., was President. Now he had to remain so.
Aliyah's bullets were focused & to the point with the first six shots fired by her sniper, she made a direct (Obama was hit twice in the chest & once in the back of the head), devastating hit to the right backside of Obama's head. It exploded upon impact, causing the President to fall backward & died within nearly 3 HRS while in emergency surgery at Makati Medical Center. With the loud firing sound of the sniper, the history of the United States had been altered by an assassin once again, with Obama joining the martyred ranks of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy & Ford. Never before had a woman with such ruthlessness resolve & military training, made such a direct & devastating lasting impact on American politics; it was a foreign policy first, perhaps the loudest---& most perfect---political statement in the decade of the 2010s.
In her mind, Aliyah's justification was "protecting the Republic" from outside agitators & meddling idiots. To her, Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., was a threat to the Republic & meddling on other country's foreign policy matters like the South China Sea with nonsense American uppity-ism. He was a legitimate target, who needed to be stopped in order to launch an aggressive political backlash in the world. But in Michelle Obama's mind, Barack Obama was a good American & even a better husband & father. He was a good man of moral character, a proud father & loving husband & a skilled, athletic, youthful, & genuine human being. Even with his sliding approval ratings in the midpoint of his 2nd term, most Americans couldn't help but like Barack Obama. Which was why none of it made sense to the First Lady. She could understand why somebody wanted to be driven to kill Nixon, Brown, Clinton, but Barack ? What did he ever do to anyone ?

The Heritage Park 6:47 PM PHST, Monday, April 28th, 2014 Heritage Memorial Park, Taguig City, Philippines. The hearse getting ready to drive toward Makati Medical Center in picking up the late US President Barack Obama's body.
Not too long after Obama was pronounced & declared dead at 5:27 PM PHST, the surgeons & nurses cleaned up the bloodied body of the late 46th President of the United States while members of the Presidential entourage looked on, others worked the phones in making calls to the US Embassy staff in Manila (which was heavily guarded). Makati Medical Executive Director Dr. Roberto Dela Cruz spoke with George Pressman, one of the senior higher-ups at The Heritage Memorial Park, where plans were being coordinated between them & several senior staff members of the US Embassy in Manila in taking the late President's body out of Makati Medical Center for a drive toward The Heritage Park Chapel, where security was converging due to possible stalkers.
Over at Makati Medical Center, US Secret Service Director Julia Pierson instructed her agents to block off paparazzi camera folks from agitating & preventing people from coming inside & outside the emergency exit, only the employees at The Heritage Park Funeral Home were allowed inside (they had the white makeshift coffin with the Presidential seal inside the hearse). It was 6:00 PM PHST: Loisa Manzano & the other nurses gathered the slain US President's clothing (the American flag lapel pin was stained with blood & his white dress shirt was drenched with blood including the collar & the blue periwinkle tie was stained with blood),shoes, socks, pants & underwear: Loisa placed them in a large brown paperback. She also placed Obama's watch, wallet, etc., in another long brown paperback too, giving them to Pierson, who motioned senior level agents of the Presidential detail to take these to an undisclosed location. Loisa had used large white bandages, while she was holding up parts of the right backside of Obama's head that was blasted out from the explosive impact of Aliyah's bullets, after Obama's head was wrapped in large white bandages & later covered in a white sheet & carefully placed the body into the white makeshift coffin, sealing it shut, the members of Obama's Secret Service detail wheeled the coffin through the back-way in the emergency room's exits, where the hearse from The Heritage Park was waiting, the coffin was placed inside & the quiet procession to The Heritage Memorial Park began......
Pierson was awaiting arrival of the Obama family, who were aboard a private USAF plane, that had flown from Andrews AFB (it would be very late at night when they arrive at NAIA). Flags were being flown at half-staff at the US Embassy in Manila as well as the US Consulate General in Cebu City; US Forces Philippines in suburban Manila as well. At 9:30 PM PHST, the private USAF plane landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the Obama family stepped out of the plane & walked towards an awaiting SUV, which they entered & accompanying other vehicles behind them, drove all the way towards The Heritage Park Funeral Home in Taguig City, in preparation plans to bringing Barry's body back to the States.

He was already eyeing where to place portraits & other changes he wanted to be made inside the executive suite of the White House. The door opened, & White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, whose job was now in question---entered with Associate Justice Sotomayor. "Mr. President" began Sotomayor, "shall I administer the Oath of Office here privately ? Or will you be willing to take it publicly." Without hesitation, Biden replied "Publicly Madam Associate Justice. The American people need to see the continuity of government in action, even on dark, traumatic days as this."
Over in the East Room, members of the Biden family had been seated on the front row, awaiting arrival of the new President & First Lady. Biden & his wife, Jill, were marching in silence from the Oval Office to the East Room for the Impromptu Inauguration....

Chapter 2: The Impromptu Inauguration of Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., as the 47th President 12:00 PM EST, Monday, April 28th, 2014 East Room, White House, Washington, DC. US Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor swearing in Biden as the 47th President inside the East Room of the White House.
Over in the Philippines, as the Obama family arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila & drove all the way to The Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City in making plans to retrieve Obama's body, Secret Service agents confiscated the nuclear football exactly as soon as Obama was declared dead at 5:27 PM PHST in the operating room of Makati Medical Center. That moment marked the official end of the Obama Presidency & the beginning of Joe Biden's, even though he does not take the Oath of Office for another few HRS back in the States. Meanwhile over in Taguig City, members of the Presidential entourage (who were traveling with Obama during his Pacific Tour) & senior members of the US Embassy in Manila arrived at The Heritage Memorial Park & greeted the Obama family. US Secret Service Director Julia Pierson escorted Mrs. Obama to the private room, where Pressman uncovered the white sheet, revealing the body of the late 46th President of the United States. The cameras were flashing non-stop inside the East Room of the White House; among those in attendance was Maya Sotero-Ng, who represented the Obama family, sitting on the front rows. It was time for the Oath of Office as members of the Biden family surrounded Joe & Jill, who was holding the Biden family bible.
Sotomayor: "Mr. President, are you prepared to take the Oath of Office ?"
Biden: "Yes ma'am."
Sotomayor: "Please put your left hand on the Biden family bible, raise your right hand & repeat after me your Oath of Office. I, Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., do solemnly swear..."

The room broke out in quiet, respectful applause; the Associate Justice removed herself from the podium & took a seat next to First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, who watched on as her husband began his Inaugural Address.
President Biden: "Thank you very much Associate Justice Sotomayor, distinguished guests, my fellow Americans & members of the international community.
Please let us take a moment of silence & prayer in honor of the late President Obama. Let us remember a man of conviction, dignity & love of country, who served this nation of ours until the final breath of his life. On behalf of the American people, Jill & myself in particular, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the Obama family, who has contributed their public service throughout the years. A family, which lost one of its finest sons today. We are here with you, & we shall never forget the 46th President of the United States.
(Silence)
Like all members of the Obama administration, I have been proud to serve this President & his agenda, that advanced America & the world at so many different levels. That brought peace to millions in the world & prosperity at home. Today, in this moment of sorrow & resolve, I stand here before you as someone who had sought the Presidency in the past, but ascended to this office under unfortunate circumstances & its enormous responsibility. But neither will I shrink it. The nation has lost a great visionary leader before his time, but the constitutional republic, that President Obama wholeheartedly believed in, works, as it has over our proud 238 year history. I shall be a humble servant for the American people, who elected me twice as their Vice President, & continue the policies of President Barack Obama. As I assume this solemn duty to serve as your President, I feel it is my duty to make a compact with my fellow countrymen. Not an inaugural address, not a fireside chat, not a campaign speech, just a little straight talk among friends & I intend it to be the first of many.
& even though we as a nation are on a crossroads today & we are mourning, nothing could honor the service & legacy of President Obama more than to continue the hard work he began when you first elected him to this office. With a sense of devotion & optimism. This was President Obama's spirit, & this is the spirit of America,our America. As I assume the Presidency under these extra ordinary circumstances, I ask you to join me in this effort & give me your trust, your prayers & your support. We have any challenges ahead, but only as one nation, under God, we can & will prevail. We have one common destiny, as one nation with freedom & justice for all.
To outline the specific goals of my Presidency & my administration, I have already spoken with congressional leaders earlier today to give a speech before a Joint Session of Congress within the next three weeks. I am confident, that together, we will move this nation forward & renew its principles & ideals while finding pragmatic solutions that makes America a better place every single day.
With all the strength & all the good sense I have gained from life, with all the confidence my family, my friends, the dedicated Cabinet & my diligent staff impart to me, & with the goodwill of countless Americans I have met over my five & half years as your Vice President, I now solemnly reaffirm the promise I made you over the course of my career as a public servant: to uphold the Constitution, to do what is right as God gives me to see the right, & to do the very best I can for America.
I will not let you down. Thank you very much. God Bless America & may God bless our troops."

10:46 AM EST, Monday, April 28th, 2014 Oval Office, White House, Washington, DC. The Biden's from the 1970s.
As he paced around the Oval Office awaiting US Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor (who was subbing in for US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, who was at the hospital for a family emergency) to be ushered in, Biden took in his new surroundings. He was already eyeing where to place portraits & other changes he wanted to be made inside the executive suite of the White House. The door opened, & White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, whose job was now in question---entered with Associate Justice Sotomayor. "Mr. President" began Sotomayor, "shall I administer the Oath of Office here privately ? Or will you be willing to take it publicly." Without hesitation, Biden replied "Publicly Madam Associate Justice. The American people need to see the continuity of government in action, even on dark, traumatic days as this."
Over in the East Room, members of the Biden family had been seated on the front row, awaiting arrival of the new President & First Lady. Biden & his wife, Jill, were marching in silence from the Oval Office to the East Room for the Impromptu Inauguration....
Interesting to now who Biden VP will be. That will likely happen weeks after Obama is laid to rest. |

The VP shortlist will probably be getting drafted & worked out. |

The Heritage Park 10:30 PM PHST, Monday, April 28th, 2014 The Heritage Memorial Park, Taguig City, Philippines.
After identifying her husband's body inside the private room, Mrs. Obama was escorted to see her husband's personal effects, but wanted to know what will happen to these personal effects. Pierson replied "These personal effects will be kept for federal evidence since this isn't only a federal crime, but an international crime as well. Here is the President's watch, wallet, etc.," as she handed those other effects to the former First Lady, who placed them into a plastic bag & grabbed it very hard in order to avoid letting her daughters see them. She had decided NOT to let Malia & Sasha see their late father's body in such a gruesome way (as mentioned earlier, the right backside of his head was blasted out from the attack at Malacanang Palace). "I want a closed casket for the funeral services when we arrive in back in the States". Outside of The Heritage Park, security was obvious; members of the US Secret Service coordinating with the Philippine Presidential Security Group & Philippine National Police & US Forces Philippines had blocked off the roads in Taguig City & also blocked off traffic, forcing the traffic to clog parts of Quezon City. The private room (where Obama's body was placed in a deep freezer) was heavily guarded inside the funeral chapel of Heritage Park by security for the remainder of the 2 or 3 days.
Obviously still grieving, weary & tired from the long flight from DC to Manila, Mrs. Obama was driven to Forbes Park Residence to spend the night or two until they were ready to do a procession toward Ninoy Aquino International Airport, placing her husband's remains aboard Air Force One in flying back to the States. Plans were underway to fly Air Force One into a private indoor hangar (April 30th will be the expected date for arrival) at O'Haire International Airport in Chicago, IL.
