Goldwater 3:57 PM MST, Sunday, June 15th, 1975 Paradise Valley, AZ
United States Senator Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) was in the middle of his 4th term in the Senate, having made a political comeback after getting trounced by then-President Lyndon Johnson in the 1964 Presidential election in one of the biggest landslide defeats recorded by a GOP nominee, where Goldwater only carried 6 states including his home state of AZ. The defeat temporarily ended Goldwater's political career over the next 4 years. During this time, Goldwater continued serving in the United States Air Force Reserve, rising to the rank of Major General when he retired with honors in 1967.
When the legendary long-time United States Senator Carl Hayden (D-AZ) announced his retirement in 1968 by choosing not to seek reelection to an 8th term after 42 years in the United States Senate, Goldwater saw his opportunity at a political comeback & took it, winning a 3rd term easily later that November in a landslide defeating Hayden's longtime staffer Roy Elson (D) [57% to 42%] & was reelected in 1974, defeating Jonathan Marshall (D) in a landslide victory (58% to 41%). During this time, Goldwater was among those who personally pushed then-President Nixon into resigning in the height of the Watergate Scandal as more details such as the damming evidence was overwhelming & he convinced Nixon that conviction in the Senate was a likely formality once impeachment in the House was inevitable.....Nixon resigned soon afterwards on August 9th, 1974.
His rivalry with Rockefeller continued from their ugly primary battle in 1964. When President Ford nominated the former 4-term NY St Governor as VP, Goldwater was annoyed at the prospect of seeing his arch-rival being a heartbeat away from the Presidency "That jackass Northeasterner is always trying to be relevant! I'm gonna destroy that idiot once I get some damming information". Despite this, Rockefeller was overwhelmingly confirmed as the 41st VP of the United States by both houses of Congress & was sworn into office on December 19th, 1974.
Goldwater's influence had been mixed: the young Goldwater-ista's from 1964, moved on to supporting former CA Governor Ronald Reagan (R), who was the beneficiary of the resurgence of the modern conservative movement in the United States.
VP Rocky 9:35 AM EST, Tuesday, June 17th, 1975 Number One Observatory Circle, Washington, DC
VP Rockefeller was in the middle of a secret escapade with his young beautiful secretary Megan inside the private quarters of Number One Observatory Circle (Residence of the VP). Megan was giggling as the bed kept squeaking non-stop "Oh Mr. Vice President... oh stop, oh stop" as she was being penetrated by her boss. Rocky was at the residence "reviewing budgetary reports" when in reality, he was with his mistress. This had been going on for awhile in the previous months whenever Rocky's wife, Second Lady Happy Rockefeller was touring other parts of the country doing community development projects or doing town hall meetings in regards to education, funding the arts, etc.,
Rocky couldn't help himself, Megan was irresistible & too steamy to make love to. He also made sure his security detail, the US Secret Service agents were ordered to prevent Happy from finding out his secretive "extracurricular activities" & he was darn sure to avoid anyone from finding out....

At 10:30, the police heard a "popping noise" while listening, but didn't believe it was gunshots. The murderer, whom Giancana apparently knew well enough to open the door for, shot Giancana in the back of the head, then in the mouth & five more times under Giancana's chin; leaving seven bullet wounds was considered a warning sign left by the Mafia for those who were felt to have betrayed the organization.

The rivalry between Rocky vs Goldwater 10:50 AM MST, Saturday, June 21st, 1975 Phoenix, AZ
The rivalry between Rockefeller & Goldwater had continued to escalate going back from their ugly 1964 GOP Primary battle for the Presidency (which Goldwater won the nomination, wrestling the GOP away from the Northeastern establishment.... only to get crushed by LBJ in the general election in a massive landslide that year). As noted earlier, Goldwater voted against Rocky's nomination as VP & was openly hostile towards the Vice President "Just because Jerry picked this jerk as VP doesn't mean I have to like it. The only that Rockefeller idiot gets the highest office of the land is if somebody shoots Jerry or something like that."
Rockefeller responded by calling the outspoken conservative firebrand "extremist & downright nuts", even going so far as to complaining why is Goldwater being the national media darling when he's really a footnote as LBJ kicked the Arizonan's ass so bad back in 1964. The office of the VP went so far as releasing press release detailing "Senator Nutty from Phoenix needs to shut up & do his Senate duties that Arizonans elected him to do & let the Vice President do his job."

Meanwhile in Sacramento 6:40 AM PST, Monday, June 23rd, 1975 Somewhere in Sacramento, CA
Squeaky Fromme was obsessed with making a specific point against President Ford & her obsession on wanting to kill the nation's 38th President had been blatantly quite clear for months "The President needs to go! The President needs to go! The President needs to go! The President needs to go! The President needs to go!" She had been also getting orders from her "beloved dear leader" Charlie Manson, who was in deathrow at San Quentin Prison for the Tate & LaBianca murders.
