COMING SOON!
Soon after the 9th Season of "Perry Mason" had ended on May 22nd, 1966, CBS Productions had a decision to make: whether to bring back the popular TV Series "Perry Mason" for the 10th Season in the Fall of 1966. Many people were left wondering what was going to happen & with the production finally going in color TV, how would younger Americans be receptive to the cast & crew....
Stay tuned...

Great Pic! A bit of Trivia, William Hopper was originally cast as Mason, while Raymond Burr was cast as Paul Drake. Interesting to think about the series with that juxtaposition, but the Burr as Mason and Hopper as Drake were PERFECT in their roles!! The character Perry Mason comes from novels and stories by Earl Stanley Gardner. There were a number of movies made in the 1930s before the classic TV series came along... I always enjoyed the character and the series. Regards,

Now that would've been intriguing, but regardless both Hopper & Burr were awesome in their respective roles.

Chapter 1: Gail 2:16 PM PST, Monday, May 30th, 1966 Los Angeles, CA.
"Perry Mason" executive producer Gail Patrick Jackson, along with several members of the cast of the famed TV Series, had been hounded by many people about a possible 10th Season. However, CBS was also getting hounded as well. Hounded by the famed TV Show's fans, who had been loyal since it's inception on September 21st, 1957 when it debuted on the airwaves. Jackson, for herself, was in the middle of tough negotiation meetings with CBS Network executives in closed door meetings; there were rumors that Jackson would consider the possibility of moving "Perry Mason" to a different network, possibly NBC or ABC. Jackson had been getting frustrated at what she called CBS' tough-handed tactics, "jerking us around". Her annoyance at these tactics escalated to the point, where she blew up at some of the network executives "Don't FUCK with me fellas! You're trying to jerk us around by doing this run around the Miley garbage crap. If you don't give any concession to us, like we gave you the courtesy of some concessions in the past, I might consider having this TV Series moved to a different network, which the viewers & fans would follow. You wouldn't like that at all wouldn't y'all" Jackson snapped with her Southern accent.
