Frightening how time passes and people are lost. As a child I recall Remembrance Day Celebrations still being led by members of the 'Old Contemptibles' from the 1914 BEF. Its a long time since we lost the last of those and as Mark says only a few of the WWII veterans from any power are still with us.

Probably not long. As Mark says its 77 years since it ended so an 18 year old at the war's end would be 94/95 now. Add another decade and very few will be left.  |

Those are recorded in local Philippine history. I guess someone did not write it down there on Wikipedia. It's forever lost to time. |
