It left open a ending for a season 2. If it does get a season 2, I hope they hire a better director. Was it not good enough then. So what are you going to watch in the Fall 2020 seasonMy picks so far would be: Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Raihousha-hen. Tonikaku Kawaii. Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko. Iwa Kakeru!: Sport Climbing Girls. Strike Witches: Road to Berlin. Rail Romanesque. I think Lapis had a bit of an identity crisis. It wanted to be a magic school story, a sport anime, a yuri anime, advertisement for the mobage and an idol anime at the same time. Since the cast was also pretty big, that meant that characters often were only given a minimum of characterisation and development. The plot was also pretty weak, the pacing jumped off a cliff around episode 8 and for being an idol anime there weren't that many idol activities. Which is to bad because the songs were often pretty good. |
