On today's WWII post a) Just a small issue but you have
The implication is that the attack on the B-17s and B-24s was related to a specific operation to intercept Mosquitos. Their both actions in the same war in defence of German resources against bomber attacks but it just sounds off with the link implied by that 1st sentence.

I think you have a small error in today's WWI thread today. This will not go down well in Argentina.

As 79 years ago a beautiful lady was commisioned int service with the United States Navy, i toughed, lets see here in action a year later in a 1944 documentary film directed by Edward Steichen, produced by the U.S. Navy and narrated by Lt. Robert Taylor USNR. Day 1313 of World War II, April 15th 1943United StatesPhoto: The crew of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10) stands at attention as the National Ensign is raised, during commissioning ceremonies at the Norfolk Navy Yard, Virginia (USA), on 15 April 1943. Yorktown is freshly painted in Camouflage Measure 21. Two steel-hull submarine chasers (PC) are at right, on the other side of the pier YouTube (The Fighting Lady - 1944)

On today's WWII post I think you have a repetition i.e.
and further down
Congratulations on reaching 100 pages. Unfortunately there's still nearly 30 more months to go before the madness is ended.

On today's WWI thread you had:
I had to check out of curiosity and yes it is that von Trapp.
On the WWII post

On today's WWI post
Ouch that was grim. It possibly shows how complete French mobilization was in the conflict that men - or boys as they would probably be viewed now - were needed for fishing and other such peacetime activities.
