Looked up Hospitalship Jutlandia - there's a short story here (in Danish but google translate and if odd ask me ) by the Captain which have a little more detail than usual. However most of it seems to be more outlined in the English wiki article. The pic of the attack on the ship during late WWII has some history to personal as my dad was aboard Falstria when sailing during the early 1950's. One of the RAF pilots in the attack was a dane though can't find his name. There's quite a few pics on the internet of the ship also of choppers landing on the Heli-pad: Besides Jutlandia there don't seem to be any readily info on Danish participation.

No time to look at the others today but for the USCW I think there's a small typo in the section:
Guessing this should be 4 men wounded or captured?

Day 7 of Korean War: seems the TV series MASH was loosely based upon the 8055 MASH mentioned at the end of the post.

Only information Re: Day 9 of the Korean War - regarding the Marine Regiment shipped to Korea. It would be the 5th Marine Regiment from California with supporting units made into the 1. Provisional Marine Corps Brigade. Should You decide to look up wiki regarding the 1. Battle of Nakthong Bulge and Battle of Masan, Battle of the Notch beware of the units allocated to 25 Infantry Division. There the 5 RCT - Regimental Combat Team is mentioned but not the 5 Marine Regiment. 5 RCT is an Army Regiment on station at Hawaii. I think somebody confused the two units. To support my claim I found this US Army CombatStudiesInstitute Battlebook 9-B which have the right Order of Battle.

Cheers - did some more digging. 5. RCT was at Naktong Bulge/Masan battle as was the Marines. Things was quite confused in those early days of August 1950 as 19. Regiment was at Battle of the Notch but then moved north to Naktong Bulge. Found some more history here on 1 August at Masan, here on later action around Masan 7-17 August - these seems to be excepts from official US Army history on Korea.

Apropos ACW: Everybody knows about the Emancipation Proclamation. Now I wonder how the South reacted at that time when they heard of it.

On today's posts a couple of comments.
a) WWII thread. That sounds a very Canadian - i.e. restrained and polite riot.
b) On the Korean war thread the section about the US discussing handling of the Korean war under a UN mandate and about reporting to the UN Security Council I wonder if one of the concerns was that the USSR, although it had absented itself from the UN for a while which allowed a UN resolution to support the protection of S Korea was technically a permanent member of the council and could presumably return at some point of their choosing. Which would make it awkward discussing details of a war against what was to all intent and purpose a Soviet proxy.

b) Pretty certain from both High-School History lessons and later readings that the USSR boycotting the UN Security Council at the outbreak of war made it possible to support S Korea the way it was done. Then it was feared that once the USSR returned to the Security Council that it would try derail the US led (in their opinion) war on peacefull N Korea and hence the Chiefs of Staff considerations of leaving running the war to the UN Security Council.

Yes for whatever reason the Soviets were boycotting the UN at the time which was a major mistake for them as it meant they couldn't veto UN resolutions to oppose the invasion. I'm not sure when they did return but it must have made for some problems.
