'One-Termer George W. Bush'. George Allen beats incumbent John Kerry in 2008, to the backdrop of the Recession. J.C. Watts, as Allen's Vice President, makes history as the first Black VP. So how will they deal with the War in Afghanistan and the mess in Iraq that Bush left them with.

So how will they deal with the War in Afghanistan and the mess in Iraq that Bush left them with. John Kerry and Allen will likely handle Afghanistan much the same, although Kerry will likely bungle Iraq worse; he never did have clear views at the time at what, exactly, his policy would be and announcing a pullout would only make the situation worse compared to the efforts undertaken IOTL to enforce a degree of stability via the troop surge.

'President Joe McCarthy'. A very tough line on the Soviet Union.

'President Joe McCarthy'. A very tough line on the Soviet Union. No doubt about that. Not to mention a POTUS who massively emboldens the Red Scare with his paranoid, yet opportunistic demagoguery. He’d also be in a position where, even as the subject of public scrutiny as any Presidents is, he’s probably less likely to receive a tongue-lashing that makes him look bad. Though a huge gaffe on his part (or series of them), or the economy tanking on his watch, could ruin his chances of getting a second term.

September 1955: Eisenhower dies from that heart attack he has. President Nixon fourteen years early.

Taking the oath of office in September '55 means that Nixon can serve out that term of Eisenhower's and two of his own should he get elected for them. Ten years of his own and two as vice president are possible.

Nixon would face elections in '56 and '60 and so opponents would sure change due to butterflies.

So it seems that in 56 he would have to face Adlai Stevenson. How strong would Stevenson be as a candidate, considering he lost both times to Eisenhower IOTL by hefty margins? Then again, Ike had his war hero status going for him (as well as incumbency on the second try), though Nixon could emphasize his experience as his VP.
